hello.. this is my 3rd day from Phase 1 and everything goes fine, I got rid of those head aches from the first 2 days.
The problem is that i'm noticing the dinner being too consistent for me, as I don't use to eat meat and other stuff at 9PM when I get back from work.
I feel like i have to do it according to my work schedule, and since i get home at 9 PM every night, I don't feel like eating those consistent meals plus dessert.
But at lunch I feel like it's not enough, no matter how much I eat, I get pretty soon hungry again. That might be because I am used to eat more consistent meals during the day, not in the evening.
I just need to lose 14 pounds. That's all and than i want to maintain my weight.
My body retains the water.
I wait for an advice from you guys, who have more experience with this diet. Did anyone switched the meals like me?

do you mean the meals that are in the book?

i never used any of them.... you can eat what you want as long as you follow the meal template that's stickied at the top of the Phase 1 forum.

You can eat bigger lunches and smaller dinners if that works better for your schedule. I'd still eat something when you get home at 9 though and try to eat something every 2-3 hours during the day. I'd try not to skip meals altogether if you can avoid it. Not sure if that is what you were asking either though! ;)

sure you can eat whatever you like as long as it follows the guidelines.
the meals in the book are just suggestions.

got it. find the link to the meal planning template thread in the FAQ threads here. Just follow that and eat a balance of good carbs, good fats and lean proteins at every meal. Never followed the meal plans in the book either and they leave out dairy and beans having been put together before those were added back in. (I think, maybe updated in newer versions of the book?)

I've been on SBD since mid-January and I immediately strayed from the menus in the book to using the Foods to Enjoy lists and creating my own meals. Additionally, in Phase 1 I chose to mix and match days, for example I would take the breakfast from one day and pair it with the lunch from another and the dinner from yet another. I tried to ensure I was getting the proper daily allotment of each type of food.

I haven't been as successful as some and missed my goal in terms of timing but I am still working at it and 50 lbs. lost in 8 months is pretty decent. I can't blame the menus or anyone but myself for not losing more during this time.
