I am into week 2 of phase 1. I have already lost 7 pounds which is great. I have been on an antidepressant for years to help with a sleep disorder. It has worked like a charm for many years. Suddenly I have stopped being able to sleep. Could there be some assocation between being on the diet and my pills no longer working? I am concerned as my insomnia has been debilitating in the past. Any thoughts would be great.

I think that's the whole point of discussing with your doctor before going on any [diet] plan.

Yes it can be a symptom of low carb dieting. Are you getting in all your good carbs with max amounts of milk/dairy, beans and vegetables. Maybe try a glass of warm milk before bedtime. And discussing it with your doctor might be a good idea as well. If it continues to be a problem, maybe also consider transitioning to P2 a little earlier.

Probably not a good idea to keep dragging up old posts (this one is from September)-- it confuses people.
