just thought i would share because when I started stories like this motivated and inspired me.
I went grocery shopping on saturday and as I checked out I realized I had bought all SBD food (I'm the only one on the diet in my house) and everyone would eat it because it was yummy. TONS of veggies in my cart, something that rarely happened before. The best part is, I wasn't even trying that hard, I just bought what I knew I needed and what looked good. I was proud of myself.
Then, on Sunday, my manager at Starbucks asked me to stay extra hours because we were short staffed and incredibly busy. I decided to stay even though I had already worked some really long hours helping out at another store that week - I just couldn't leave my coworkers/friends to the hell that is making drinks as fast as you can and still having customers waiting forever. I don't think I would have had the energy for this pre-SBD but as more and more weight comes off, I find I have a ridiculous amount of extra energy.
So today (monday) I went into work and my boss had gotten me a gift card for old navy to say thank you (she is the bestest) and I went and bought new black pants for work because my old ones are just too big, even with my too big belt. Guess what? It's only been about 2 months and I am down from a 22 to a 20. I have never bought new clothes that are smaller than my old ones. I was so excited. Ok I'm gonna stop rambling. . . .but the point is for anyone new who might be reading this - SBD really works and is worth puting time, energy and thought into. |

i also forgot to add the best part - i walked into the other store that I helped out in last week to pick up my tips and one of my co-workers that transfered over there took a few seconds to recognize me. . .granted i had cut my hair but still. . . .she said she could tell a huge difference.
sidenote: scale victory - This morning I weighed in and I have finally lost 10% of my body weight since I started. WOO HOO!!! |

shiny-that is awesome. i've been having a few myself.
i haven't dropped a size as of yet, but those too tight pants are starting to fit a whole lot better. i've put on shirts that I haven't worn in a few months. this morning I put on a shirt, and noticed it lays a little smoother in the back.
no one has noticed anything yet. only 7 pounds down, but what I am noticing, that makes all the difference!!!
keep it up! my goal is to get back into my old navy jeans again...just to fit comfortably in them will be a huge sucess for me. i have so many clothes from there that i miss! I will persist, I will succeed! (Sigma Delta saying from my college days!!!) |

there is a girl in my office and i always used to think "she looks so healthy- i wish i could be her size, i would feel so much better about myself!"
i saw her today and realized though we are proportioned a bit differently, i am now a little smaller than she is! |

NSV for me today:
I used to have to wear control top nylons to fit into my size 10s- and even then it was a struggle.
I work in a business-casual type of place. Howver, I have an important meeting today so I thought I would step things up a bit and wear heels. I put on nylons this morning to go with the heels and it felt so weird! I have not worn nylons for a number of months now as I can comfortably wear my size 8s without support! |
