Ugh, eating beachy sent my DH into a Gout attack. Apparently sf jello and knox are a trigger food. So are red meat, asaparagus and mushrooms. We all of them Sunday night...and Monday he woke up in terrible pain.
Anyone else have this problem? He's only had it a few times...usually in his toe. Once in his ankle, and now in his knee. The pain was so bad this time he finally went to the doctor. Stubborn man!
I can't imagine how painful it must be. I've never seen him like that. |

Poor DH!
I personally have not experienced it but my father and both of my brothers have it. I know from their experiences that it is very painful. My father has had it for as long as I can remember. There are medications to alleviate the pain (and for long time sufferer help minimize the number of attacks) |

| Stay away from peanuts if you have gout - it always causes my hubby to have a flare up. Peanut oil too! Drink TONS of water to flush the uric acid out of your system! Natural Cherry juice is supposed to be good to combat gout - but becareful how much you drink or you may have other stomach/restroom sideeffects- lol. |

| I've looked for cherry juice and haven't been able to track it down. Do you know what "section" of the supermarket it is in. I checked the juice aisle with no luck. |
