Hi there,
I have somehow missed the last few days of this board. LOVED seeing the photos of you and the babe. It is neet seeing real live people rather than just icons. It will be perfect timing when you retire because your grandbaby will be just about walking soooo cute, fun and will keep you super busy and your kids will love the help.
Smurleen and Meemo I know what you mean about the boredom of routine at Curves. I really like to have variety in my workout, as well. I wonder if you could negotiate a lesser price and go less often or a punch card of some sort, rather than commit to the whole year. At the gym I have been going to one of the options they have is a 25 visit punch card. It works for me because I don't go regularly enough to justify the monthly fee but I still have the card to go as often as I like. You might be surprised what they will do if you ask. The social aspect can be as important as the exercise. If you were meeting a friend for lunch how much would it be? If you get the same amount of satisfaction and a little exercise by going to Curves maybe the price is worth it?
Yesterday, I put on some funky music and used my new weights and can really feel it today. I walked with a small meetup.com group this morning which was a great way to start my day (working toward my fitness goal and making friends goal). I have to say that knowing that I am keeping track of pts for this forum does keep my focused. These last two days I am really starting to feel good and my pants are starting to feel loose. I really want to get to my goal and buy a few pair of fall pants before the cold weather comes. Keep up the good work everyone.
PS Thanks for the journal feedback and encouragement. As my 12 yr old daughter would say "You Rock." |

| Mauijoy--I had never thought of asking Curves if they have a punch card or something. When I joined, I only did so on month-to-month basis, having joined gyms in the past and not gone enough to get my money's worth. I will ask if they have a pass or something. Good idea! |

I love the South Beach Roasted veggies but I vary mine
all 4 colors of Bell Peppers
2 small yellow squash
1 zuchinni
1 purple onions
Mushrooms
Asparagus
I cut this into chucky pieces(aspargus in half)
spread them in one layer in a roasting pan.
Cover lightly with EVO mix with your hands to cover
Place in 400 degree oven 30 minutes
I may cook them longer cause I like my mushrooms a certain way.
I also make so much cause my husband eats it also, plus also it is good the next day also.
Eat and Enjoy!! :D |

Oh yeah, I see you're from Cross Plains! Grew up in Madison myself, familar with your area, very pretty out there. Now I live in East Troy/Mukwonago area, pretty quite out here! Let's hope the Pack does well this year! |

The baby is so cute. My BFF is pregnant, 4th month and I already started shopping for baby clothes.
Water points should be easy to accomplish. That is probably the only one that I don’t have to do nothing special since I'm drinking 8 glasses a day anyway.
I'm traveling this week for four day. Its going to be straggle to been beachy. I'm taking 9 hour flight for which I'm not even thinking about packing my food. We'll see at the end of the week when I step on that scale. |

Hi !
Haven't been on the site much lately... I really wanted to keep on this challenge, but I just don't have the time. Hard to work out everyday when I work 10hr + each day !
The good thing is that my job hours will go back to normal probably at the end of this week, or at worse the week after that.
Meanwhile, I will keep working out at least twice a week (yep, I'm down from 6 cardio /5 strengh to 2 cardio only :( ), just to keep in shape.
Keep on the good work everyone ! I may join the October challenge (still don't know if I will be able to, because I will have to study 30+ hrs/week 'til November 1) or in the November one (Working out will be my top priority that month !) |

I didn't do well this stage. With doctors appointments bumping my aerobic/strength classes out, I just did do any. I am hoping nothing else comes up this week to keep me from working out.
Dee - 9 hour flight - ugh. Been there before. Headed to Europe?
Jadzia - sorry you are dropping out. I didn't get my exercise in this week either. 10 hr days can be long and leave you not feeling like working out after. As long as you eat beachy and drink your fluids you'll be ok.
I don't think I'll be reaching my goal. The weight isn't moving as much as before and I'm sure that has something to do with me not moving my butt as much either! |

| Hang in there everyone! I felt rather frustrated this morning myself when the scale showed a half pound weight gain. I really thought I would have lost something. I have been exercising and eating beachy, although maybe too much bean brownie. I do know that I feel better and my clothes are feeling much better. I just want those final four out of here so I can go buy some fall pants. waa-waa-waa. Okay, I am over it now. I like the water challenge. I need to get consistent with that one. I haven't had any diet soda or sugarfree gum for a few days and I notice I am not craving them now and my stomach feels better too. I am so glad to be exercising regularly this challenge has really helped in that department. |

| mauijoy--Oh man, I laughed so hard when I read your message. I gained a half a pound, too!! And, I think it is from the bean brownies. I have had three pans of those in two weeks. |
