well i don't mean to let you guys down, of course...my point totals have not been as great as i've hoped. but i must say, i was more conscious of eating well this week, plus i advocated the SBD and lent my book to a coworker, and thirdly i lost a pound - and fourthly i took a lot of stairs - and fifthly i was doing yoga by myself yesterday and went up into a full bridge, which i haven't done since middle school - and sixthly my body is looking really good - and seventhly it feels like i'm falling in love. :o

Hi Everyone!
I'm so so sorry - I haven't had much access to internet and I'm actually typing this at work (bad....!). Having to move out a week early has thrown me for a bit of a loop, and I really apologize for not keeping up with the threads. I'm afraid this week will also be quite difficult, but I'm going to try to pop in everyday.
PP, you did a great job, especially considering that you took the weekend off! You should be really proud of yourself, especially for getting in all of those extra strength workouts! That's amazing, and it's one of many things that I really have to work on. Keep it up!
Rosetrail - Great job on meeting all of your goals! I hope you're even closer to your first mini-goal than you were last week. Is your DH as active as you, or are you hoping to motivate him to lead a healthier lifestyle?
KJ - Despite all the difficulties you're facing, it sounds like you have a lot of great stuff going on, so good for you! Congratulations on doing a full bridge - your friend must be a fan of your talents in this area haha! I had to say it!
Smurl, Nims, Kathi - I hope things are going well, and I'll check in with you guys again this week!
Again, sorry for being so absent. Keep up the good work! It's been a really strong month for all of us, so let's finish it off with a bang! |

kj--I, too, try not to focus only on numbers. Other accomplishments are just as or even more significant. And being in love...what a wonderful feeling!
I stepped on the scale for the first time since the challenge, and I am down five lbs!! I hope I can get down at least one more pound by the end of the challenge. I haven't weighed so little since the 90s!!
Keep on keeping on everyone. I am hoping this last week will be my best week yet. I am determined to get in at least two stretch sesssions this week. |

Feeling much better today. Throat is only mildly soar - naturally it's the work week. I did work out today and it felt good, I really sweated - got all those nasty toxins out of my body!
Hoping to make this last week a kick cheek week! Going out of town one day on the weekend, not an overnight, we have a sick kitty that needs 2 meds 4 different times a day. We'll be going to a "Taste of Madison", do you think I'll find any SB foods there?

pp--So glad to hear that you are on the mend! That is great news. Sorry about the sick kitty. I sure have been through enough of that over the years. I used to have seven at once...and two were critically ill! Such anxiety. Enjoy the Taste of Madison. That sounds wonderful. You might be able to find something Beachy there.....
Did two 30 minute cardios today. Still hanging out at Curves. I am debating on whether to join my university's gym. I have avoided it for so long, but it is only $100 a year! I just hate the thought of working out right after working and then taking that darned bus home. I see a car in my future....if only I could drive well. |

smurl - at $100 a year, you can't not take advantage of it!! well do you just not want to be all stinky on the bus after working out? or is it just like an uncomfortably long time to be all sweaty and stuff? ooh and congrats on the loss, that is a tremendous feeling!
pp - glad to hear you're feeling better, but sorry about your kitty -- ooh "taste of madison", will that be like a lot of cheese and meats on sticks??
no workout yesterday, but tonight is my last yoga class with my favorite instructor of all time -- due to the fact that my gym membership ends this weekend. gotta find one in the city asap... woo! in the meantime i think i'll do my tae bo tapes and walk at the park, plus strength training on my own. though i guess the tae bo might be strength + cardio.
tomorrow i leave for boston - it should be an interesting and busy weekend, moving a bunch of my stuff in a u-haul truck - yikes! luckily my dad will be driving it back to philly, but i think it might take about 8 hours or so. :cry: me cooped up for 8 hours will be fun for my dad, i'm sure! :lol:

Well, late again, and no internet for me, so I am also doing this at work. Bad. Anyway, did pretty well last week. Couldn't go running over the weekend because of my back, just stuck to walks, which I did count as cardio, but didn't really give me the exhilarating feeling like running!

kj - Have fun in Boston! Yes there probably will be cheese at the Taste of ---, Madison is a fairly big college town, so there is a big variety of resturants. Talked to our friends last night and they may have other commitments, so that means we won't go. That's ok with me!
I'm trying to eat beachy here, but the cut up cucumbers just don't taste good. I haven't been able to get good crispy ones, must be lack of and then too much rain.
Absolutely beautiful weather here today! Sure is making it hard to sit at this desk and stare out the window! |

kj--I have a number of reasons for not taking advantage of my gym at work: not sure I want to workout with my students, my desire to want to go home after I am done working and not stick around on campus, and lugging gym clothes back and forth on the bus. I should probably just get over this stuff.
