Hello, another question from a newbie

What are "quotes" used for? I don't get it?

Thanks! Julie

It just quotes everything that person had in their post, just like this. So now if you quoted me, it would include what I quoted from you, and what I've written here.

BTW, I see you're from St. Peter's. I'm originally from Wright City, and worked in O'Fallon for a few years at Bandana's BBQ. Always nice to see another Missourian on here!

Yep! Perhaps you want to respond to someone and what they said higher up in the thread and you just want to clarify what and who you are responding to at the bottom of the thread. If you don't want to include everything, quote the post and then edit out whatever you don't want between the quote "tags" at the beginning and end of the quoted text.

Yes, good ole' St. Peters, MO--used to love to eat at Bandana's, now that I am on the SBD, don't find a lot of "acceptable" choices there.

Thanks everybody--have a good day!

There actually are some decent choices there, especially since they have added salads. I like to get the turkey plate with green beans, obviously no bread  , and I think their mustard based sauce and the spicy are the closest to fitting the guidelines. Their salads are also really yummy! Good luck on your journey on the beach!
