Hello. I am just getting started on the SBD and wanted to introduce myself.
I need to get back into shape and lose weight because I am being recalled back into the United States Marine Corps, most likely being sent over to Iraq. I will lose the weight one way or another I guess.
My usual wt is around 200 lbs. I am 5' 7" don't look to big though. I want to get to around 180 or 170(which is the USMC standard for my height). Or a waist of 32" would be great too.
I have about 2 months to get to my goal because I doubt they will have SBD friendly MRE (Meal Ready to Eat) when I deploy. :)
Any advice for a beginner would be greatly appreciated. |

Welcome Tim! First I would like to say a great big THANK YOU for protecting our country and putting your life on the line for me and my family!
Second, the one secret I can tell you is to STICK WITH the plan. It's not a hard "diet" (most prefer to call it a WOL- way of life), and you'll see results quick! Go to the recipe threads and get LOTS of yummy ideas! I promise there will be SOMETHING you'll find that you like. Good luck and if you need any help, I promise you there are some amazing people on this board that will help you! I wouldn't be able to do this with each one of their words of wisdom! |
