Okay, so I am losing weight and all is good, but I am losing a lot of weight on top and it is going much slower on the bottom. I walk EVERY day and do a strength training circuit three days a week.
The problem: I have this bulge of fat above my bra band that is between my back and my arm. The more weight I lose, the worse it looks. It just kind of hangs there. Any suggestions for 1. getting rid of it, or 2. hiding it? |

here is a link where you put in measurements and it gives you the size you should wear:

I just recently went in for a professional bra fitting, so I know it isn't fit.
I exercise at least five days a week, including weight training. Maybe I need to just wait it out until I lose more weight. Sigh.... |

I know exactly what you are talking about. For me, that fat was one of the last things to go away (that saggy lower tummy pooch was the other)...but it did go away. All the other back "rolls" left rather quickly. I'm afraid you might have to do what you just said and wait it out. Gee, I wish I had a better answer for you.

Terri--I am just relieved to hear that it will probably go away. It is driving me crazy because it just kind of hangs over and bunches out, marring my otherwise slimmer silhoutte.
Thank you so much for writing! |

One other thought. I don't know if it really helps, but I'm one of those people that would rather be doing something - even if it's marginally helpful.
That's a hard spot to reach for people, so it doesn't always get moisture. I don't really believe those "firming creams" but any type of moisture should help skin retain it's elasticity and that will help your skin come back to the shape it should be for your body.
Also massaging the area daily (by applying moisture) will help keep the skin "awake". I don't have a better word for it - but you know how massaging scars makes them go away faster? I have to think there are some similarities here.
Congrats on the weight loss so far and keep it up! |

| RaeRae--You are so right! That is a hard spot to reach. I would work on more with my daily moisturizing, which takes less time now that I am a little thinner. |

| Keep exercising and drinking lots of water. They both help the skin keep up with your weight loss. I have the same spot, but I think (hope) it's getting smaller. |

| My fingers are crossed that it will slowly fade. Meanwhile, I will keep tucking it in. :D |

I would just like to say that I feel your pain. Even though I'm in pretty much a healthy weight range, I STILL have that annoying bulge. And only on one side too. I'm hoping it'll disappear on or before my goal.
Nice to know I'm not alone!

| We should form a banish bra band fat society. I really don't remember having this before I started losing weight. Aaargh! |
