Of course this is likely an individual thing (age, how overweight, etc.) but I'd like to know how long it might take me to bring down things like my blood sugar (which was 99), my cholesterol (which was 203 - triglycerides were good), and my blood pressure (which is borderline hypertensive around 130/87). These were my figures from my physical last fall. I started WW after the holidays and have lost 25 pounds but I still didn't feel great and my BP was still about the same when I saw the doctor last month.
Recently I've decided to do SBD because I know it's so healthy and helps things like this.
Any thoughts? Are we talking weeks to bring the numbers down or months, years?
I'm 42, 5'4" and 182 lbs (want to get to 130). |

Anecdotal evidence here suggests that three months on SB can give a significant change.
Do you know your cholesterol breakkdown of HDL and LDL? Giving the one number of total cholesterol is virtually meaningless these days, so make sure you get the breakdown from your doctor anytime you get it tested. |

Thanks. My doctor wasn't too worried about it - was mostly concerned about my blood pressure which I'm having checked regularly. Hopefully by the time I see her for blood work this fall things will have improved overall.
LDL was 138
HDL was 58
