Once again I am feeling bad posting my results. I'm sorry that I'm bringing the team score down with my low scores. But, I'm not going to beat myself up about it. Some exercise is better than none for me, and my eating has been pretty decent.

Strength: 2 workouts @ 5 points each = 10 points

Goals: Met 1/3 goals @ 5 points each = 5 points

Tonight's ride didn't go as planned but at least I still go on the bike. I was hoping to ride with the club so I loaded the bike and drove to the meeting place. No bikes. I asked inside and they didn't know what I was talking about. Checked around the building again and couldn't find anyone with a bicycle. I was a little miffed so I headed back home. I really should have found a route and took off by myself but I didn't. I was almost home and ran into the neighbor and her son on their bikes so I unloaded and rode with them. We did 10 miles at a slow pace but at least I did 10 miles!
How's everyone else doing?

Sure is quiet here. Hopefully that means you guys are all out exercising!!
My scale was down to 170.6 this morning!! I won't log that number quiet yet though. If it's still there next Monday (or hopefully lower) I'll change my ticker. I was hoping to lose more than 5lbs for the challenge but hey, it's better than gaining 5. I'm heading to a water park with the kids today and I'll swim some laps and get some exercise while I'm there.

| Evening all! I am so bushed. All evening I've been watching the wind whip at the trees in the yard hoping it would stop. No such luck but I knew I needed to ride tonight. I set out in the wind planning on 4 miles which is short but the wind is a b*tch to ride in. I ended up doing 8 miles 'cause I was having so much fun riding with the wind and I convinced myself the wind wouldn't be bad until after I climbed back up the hill. Ummm, sure. Took me an hour to do the 8 miles and I was pushing myself Sooooooo there's a push-it along with my workout. It feels good! :P |

Hi Guys,
I hope you're all doing well!
It's been a rough week for me. I moved over to a different department for work, and the commute is significantly longer, so I've been really slack on making it to the gym after work. That, combined with this ridiculous heatwave, has made me want to do as little as possible. Next week, I've decided that I'm going to take all my gym clothes with me to work so that I walk straight to the gym after work - no excuses that way. Unfortunately, that'll be after this challenge is over :( .

Great job with the July Challenge team!!! I had an awesome ride yesterday. I had planned to take a new loop that would be about 23 miles. As I was headed out I ran into one of the neighbors who bikes. We've been trying to get out together it just hasn't worked so far. I waited for her to get ready and we set out. She wanted to go around Red Mountain and take rest stops at a couple wineries so that's what we did. We ended up going 35 miles and stopped at 3 wineries. What a fun day!!! I even made it up the 2 hills without stopping (last time I couldn't) so what a great time. She's a faster rider than me so I pushed myself though she didn't mind slowing down for me. I was so tired when I got home but wow did I feel great!!! To top it off the scale was down again this morning, 170!
