Any SBDers outside the US with food choice issues?

Hello everyone,

I'm a newbie from Croatia who lived in the US for seven years and now I decided to start SBD upon my return home (well, I've been back here for a month and just started phase 1 yesterday). Bad timing, SBD food-wise, as it's hard to find some of the recommended stuff for phase 1, or advice on specific brands, etc... I posted a question about low fat cheese available in Europe in another thread, but I'm afraid even the vets might not be able to give me tips on foreign products :( Of course, veggies (GREAT veggies !), eggs, fish and lean meat are available almost everywhere, but when it comes to finer points of SB, I think those of us living outside the US could benefit from giving each other ideas and advice how to adjust recipes or track down hard-to-find low fat items. So - anyone out there from or living in different countries, continents and cultures, please chime in if you're in a similar situation! And, of course, it would be great if those of you who have lived abroad or are experienced travelers shared your eating/cooking solutions when away from fat free dairy and other staples :) I know there's Kimboroni...

(I hope it goes without saying that there is nothing political or "separatistic" about this topic, and I apologize in advance if it appears so to anyone).
