| I bought the book and it is basically a joke to get through. His "detox" period is 2 weeks like SB but the only thing you can eat is raw or steamed fruits and veggies. I think you are allowed brown rice too. After you get through that phase it is pretty much like the Beach. |

| I did this book exactly how he wrote it. I actually ate a little less than the allowed amounts of oatmeal and rice... yet I gained weight. I knew the food was too good to be true but I honestly did not expect to gain weight. I have the book still and its a great read. I love how he stresses exercise. But, if you want to try this diet find a fat smash forum because those have MORE information than the book does. |

i did this diet maybe about a year ago now.
phase 1 you are allowed all the fruits and veggies you want (minus white potatoes and no avocados), raw, steamed or cooked.
you must have 2 cups of brown rice daily, 4 egg whites, 1 cup of oatmeal, 2 yogurts (low fat) and 2 cups of milk...1% or skim.
also as an added option you can have low fat dressing for your salad
the first phase is 9 days long (i think).
after that you start reintroducing more foods into your diet. i lost weight the first phase but after that nothing was coming off. so i quit.
also they recommend no weight training in the first phase due to lack of protein. i think they recommend weight training in phase 4.
also this program has you working out starting with 30 mins daily 5 times a week. then you up it by a percentage every time you enter a new phase.
the first phase has you eating so much fiber that you spend a lot of time in the bathroom.
like i said i didnt last too long after phase 1 was over. |
