Alright! A new week and a new push forward!
I've been laid up the last few days with my back out of whack but I am DETERMINED to get back into my workout groove just as soon as I can. Remember, it's not the bumps in the road but your reaction to them which will decided whether you crash and burn or continue to your end destination. Me, I want to reach my goals! So on we go!

Did cardio yesterday and strength training with my trainer this morning. I am glad the weather has cleared up so I can do my walking/jogging cardio around the inlet after work.
One of my goals is to bump it up to 40 min. cardio workouts. So far so good.
I hope you are feeling better Caffrey!! |

Great job guys! My back has finally been twinge free for 24 hours so tomorrow I am getting back to it - I hate being sidelined!
I'm sorry I haven't been around much the last week or so. My DH left for TX to nurse his stepfather through his final days. He is alone in a rundown trailer with him and I have spent quite some time on the phone trying to keep his spirits up through a really bad situation. Don't want to put you all on a downer - just letting you know that I haven't abandoned you! |

Boy you are all so inspiring. I have to say this accountability has helped me keep it up. Although I have to say you are all impressive. We have had the stomach flu this week so I didn't feel so good yesterday and have have had to spend a lot of time with my son (he has been the sickest). Anyway I seem to have bounced back. I have done two cardio workouts and 2 strength training workouts so far this week. Just the bear minimum on time. But I have to say I have dropped a few more pounds and am really starting to look a lot better then when I recommited.
Thanks for keeping me going.
Caffrey - Sorry to hear about your husband and father in law. |

Good Monring Cardio Queens!
Well I managed to do 90 minutes of speed walking yesterday. I am so sore today! But it was worth it!
Had strength training by myself this morning.....my trainer forgot
Will train with him again on Tues. I will be doing 40 min of cardio tomorrow. I have the day off tomorrow so I can do it at any time not at 6am! Woo Hoo!
Hoping to get 6 cardios in again this week.
Caffrey-Glad to hear you are up and around again
Motherof3-WTG! I hope you are feeling better today!
Keep up the great work Cardio Queens!! |

Good to hear Caffrey and Motherof3 are feeling better.
I have been doing some Push Its with my cardio going
40 minutes. I walk nearly each morning and now am
adding some jogging to the mix and swinging my arms
with arm circles when I do walk - who cares how silly
it may look - it intesifies my workout.
I am even making insomnia a way to earn points: I got
up and did 30 minutes of yoga at 2:30 a.m. the other night.
Am getting in a weight workout today.
Go Caffrey's Cardio Queens - I feel motivated now just reading
about all the exercise everyone is doing.
And we won a week? That is great.
I will hoist my water bottle to that! |

Well once again I did my 30 minutes of elliptical and then 20 minutes of strength training. Thats 3 cardio and strength for the week. It is all I can do to carve out that much time without the little ones. They watch cartoons. Sorta feel guilt but not really. It would be harder to load them up to go to the gym.
Instead of driving to pick up my DD from her friends I walked with my other DD. Not that far but it felt good and I was glad my DD's got to stretch their legs as well. My 20 minutes of strength I have been doing this "Lean, Long and Strong" Program from a book.
Made a great recipe for dinner. Beef Thai Salad. Awesome. DH was up a good part of the night with the stomach flu. He has been in bed most all day. I am praying my DD's don't get sick also. |

Motherof3 that sounds great you are exercising at home (I also
do not belong to a gym). Think of what a role model of exercise
you are for your kids. This is bound to have an effect on them
and including your DD in a walk is great.
This morning my husband got up early (again this week) and
did a walk. I was not going to exercise as I had so much yard
work to finally get to. He talked me into it. He has gone with
me 4 times so far this week - the most he has ever done.
Love this challenge, this is my second one and it obviously is
giving benefits to our families (and my dogs who also go with
me).
Go Caffrey's Cardio Queens! Hope everyone has a goal doing,
water drinking, SB eating, exercising day! |
