Well as of this morning's weigh in I am officially half way to my goal......yaaahhhhhoooo!!!!
I committed to changing my lifestyle back in January 2007 and picked the SBD as my new WOE. I average a 1.8lb loss a week and have yet to hit a stall. From reading many posts on stalling and reading tips on how to break them I think has helped me avoid one at this point. I change up my exercise every couple of weeks and even change up my food choices by still following SBD principals but I just have some days where I eat a bit more or less than my average intake to keep my body guessing. So far that seems to be working. Sure I have some weeks where I lose a 1/2 lb but there are also weeks where I lose 3 lbs.
Even though I still have a little over 50lbs to go until I hit the high end of the healthy BMI for my height I feel like my life has totally been changed for the better. I have tons of energy and have had the best summer because I have been so active and able to do so much more physically. I have struggled with emotional eating since I was a kid and now I feel like I have been able to have more control since I have learned to eat in such a way that I never allow myself to become hungry. I now use exercise as my way to handle the stress that used to trigger emotional eating binges. I walk about 4 miles every morning now...which to me is simply amazing considering I used to have trouble even walking short distances. Walking gives me a hour of time to myself where I get to think things out and has helped me use positive self-talk to bring things into perspective.
I have found this board to be a key to keeping myself on track...I read posts every day. I don't post very often but I learn so much by reading others posts that have contained the same questions I have had through the past 7 months. So a big thank you goes out the everyone here! |

| Don't worry Diamond I have no plans of giving this up if I hit a stall. I take my measurements once a month so that even if the scale stops moving for a while I still have another way to see progress. There also are way to many NSV that I wouldn't want to give up. Thanks for your support. :D |
