What a great testimonial, WResnick! Very inspiring. Almost makes me want to throw out my scale... but I don't think I can do it!! I only weigh once a week, but it keeps me in line!

No I don't count calories but am mindful of portions of highly caloric foods such as NPB which I love! And sweet treats...!

I am brand new on this message board, but I have been on the SBD for 2 1/2 years. I have lost 88 lbs and I feel great. Since I have lost so much weight my skin was just hanging on stomach, so I treated myself to a full Tummy Tuck June 5th 2007 and believe me, my life has changed because of this diet. I will one day soon sit down and write a blog of my 2 1/2 yr. adventure on SB. My cholsetrol came way down, I no longer have to take my GERD medication, and I believe it is the best diet in the world. It is not a quick fix diet. I joined Curves and I go 3 times a week. I didn't lose alot of weight in the first phase. But I did lose my desire for the carbs. It made it alot easier not to cheat. There is so much stuff you can eat on this diet that with will power you can do this forever. I waited along time to get to the point I am at now. In phase 3, about once every 2 weeks I have a nice cheat day. I get me a Burger king whopper and Fries and then off to the Dairy Queen. But the next day I am back following phase 2. It all comes down to what you are willing to give up... My motto is ,,,Nothing taste as good as thin feels. Good luck all on your journey. Artbigred

I don't really care to count calories, I just watch how many carbs are in something and how much sugar. It's not so bad, you should know what's healthy and what isn't.

lost 30lbs in 3 months when i first did SB, never counted the first calorie and ate all the time. I just ate the right foods. Even people at work would make fun of me cause i always had some kind of veggie or fruit, or lean protien in hand. My work partner and i would argue about quanity vs quality. So to prove my point whenever i got the urge to snack i would. Where as he would eat harldly nothing and snack on lil debbies, i would eat all the time. Needless to say i went from a size 14 to a 4. But i also work on a prodution line making furniture so i got a lot of exercie and that helped. To me if i have to count calories i am "dieting" and that just makes life so boring. Keep healthy stuff on hand and snack away.
