Ok I have been yo-yoing with SBD since February 1 and although I lost 8 lbs in phase 1, I was absolutley miserable. I am 21 in college and the stress of school is enough without having to think about what is legal that I have time to fix or money to buy. Not to mention that when I have a major exam coming up, all I can think of is how good warm chocolate chip cookies sound. So I guess I eat for comfort sometimes.
So basically my experience thus far has been on phase 1, then 2 for 1 week, then back to 1, in a vicious cycle. I am currently off the diet completely although I have retained some knowldege and managed to keep a total of 4 lbs off in the past 3 months. I would like to eventually go back on to lose about 15 more lbs, but don't know where I can get the willpower. Its summer and all my friends anf bf want to do is eat out and chill. I also HATE cooking at this point.
Not sure if anyone has any advice at this point. Everytime I went back to phase 1 it was SOOOOO much harder. Well thanks for listening...let me know if you guys have any tips--they will be much appreciated! |

| You might be better off to skip the PI for awhile and just concentrate on the P2 regimen. I know people who never did PI, they just started in with P2. They lost wait slowly, which is just fine. I don't cook as much as I used to before the SB diet. I grill a lot of food, boil shrimp and bake salmon. No fancy sauces. We eats lots of salads -- bags of lettuce ready to go. And we eat a lot of frozen peas - takes just a few minutes to microwave. Another trick is to buy deli lunch meat (turkey, ham) and eat slices of that with 2% cheese - swiss is my favorite. Keep plain nuts on hand for snacks. Apples make good snacks too. Sometimes for dinner I will have a salad, fruit and a slice of toasted healthy bread with peanut butter; no cooking there either. Good luck to you. |

| Losing any weight during college is an accomplishment. I know that I could not resist the gallons of beer, wine and other booze, which is even worse that a few cookies for your health. I've been doing this diet for a few weeks, and it is definitely HARD work. Not only cooking and buying groceries every few days, but just resisting those small temptations. I think once you get to the point where you just can't stand the extra weight on your body, then you can work through the hunger and resist eating the forbidden foods. Good luck!! |
