Hi everyone!
Yesterday I only got my one cardio session in. I was too tired to walk last nite and so busy during the day, I couldn't do my daily gym time during lunch! grrr!
I did get my early AM cardio in yesterday and I already walked today. I am definitely going to the gym today and maybe a walk tonite.
I am already thinking about how I will be successful on my trip next week. The hotel I am staying at in London has an indoor pool and a gym, so I will get up early and do my exercise. Plus...I get to do some serious walking as there will be time for sightseeing--How cool is that??
Eating will be tough but I am ok with that--it is only 4 days and I will be home on Thursday--the jet lag just kills me!
Hope everyone is well

hey hotties,
wtg otter, with the planning! ooh london..i was only there for about a day, but i'd love to get back. in addition to sightseeing, are you also going for work??
well this morning i slept in a bit, so no AM workout for me - but i got out at lunch and walked 30+ minutes around the city..not too hot, thankfully. then tonight i went to a class at the gym, achieving one of my goals.. it was called "jump-n-pump" and involved jump roping and strength training. very fun, a great workout! but the "plank" ab work was too much..geeeez, ouch lower back ouch ouch it just hurt, and not in a good way.
i don't think combining taco seasoning and ground turkey constitutes as "a new recipe", but a girl can dream. (oops i probably wasn't supposed to have that seasoning)

Hi everyone!
Just a short note to say hello! I did my strength and cardio yesterday and I did another cardio this AM. I even tried a new set of strength machines so I got a goal done. Beachy so far this week--I am on day 3
I have a rash (contagious) I picked up from my niece this weekend and if I sweat too much the rash spreads-I figured that out this morning after my cardio session, so I am skipping the work out at lunch, till after I get back from the doc.
I will try and do a power walk later tonite
Have a great day!

Hey H(O)tties!
Have to report an NSV (non-scale victory). This morning I went to my group power class for the first time in awhile and have to report that due to the Pilates or whatever, I am actually able to do a bunch of pushups, and I'm not talking lady pushups either. This is major for me.
On the down side, I bought a new pair of shoes last weekend and I am already thinking they might make my plantar fascitis come back. AARGH....I don't want to have to shell out another $70.
Best wishes to all you who are traveling. It is the hardest thing, but I'm happy to hear you have a plan. It does matter.

congrats, salmon lady, that is excellent - i am envious!
ahhh, this stinkin humidity! boo.
i am still feelin my jump rope/strength workout from the other night.. this morning i did 45 mins of cardio, and it was a pretty average workout for a morning at the gym.
i really, really hope i can get to the gym at the hotel on saturday morning.. so either that day or sunday i hope to achieve my goal of running/jogging 10 minutes straight on the treadmill.
take care y'all

Hi everyone
Went to the doc yesterday-got some antibiotics and the rash is getting a bit better. I did cardio and strength this AM already and will try and get another cardio tonite.
Salmonlady~ YAY on the NSV!! I love them (especially when my scale refuses to cooperate)
Tiggr and Kjacema~ London is for work (a conference) but you better beleive I will be out and about as much as I can--although someone told me it has been raining non stop for weeks...GRR!
I did a body fat testing today and WOW! I was really pleased! My body fat % was 21.9 and my BMI was 23.5, comfortably inside the "Ideal" category! I did the testing about 4 months ago and I was 24% BF and BMI was 25 so this WOE is working for me. Struggling with the last 11 pounds, but glad there is only 11 and not an additional 25 hanging around!
Anyway another beachy day and tomorrow and Sunday will probably be my challenging days
Hope everyone is well

I know I posted my goals for the week but they aren't here. Add it to my crappy week and a half and I will be all set. Grrrr.......Let's start with last Friday, on the way home from work the transmission in my van went. Yeah...then I got to push it across two lanes of traffic in five oclock traffic by myself. UGH! Plus my new laptop is still not working right and they have had it for over a week now. Grrrr Then, I call to make and appointment for a hair trim and to go over wedding hair and the gal that has been doing my hair for almost two years has quit and they believe she is no longer doing hair. I loved this lady...she was the first person to get my hair to do things. I have horse hair, thick, coarse, frizzy and unruly. So that is my crappy week in a nutshell. So I am out the door now to try the girl who does my sister's hair. Two months before the wedding and I have to try and find someone new. Life is lovely sometimes. LOL
So since I do not see my goals I will repost them.
1.Eat beachy 5/7 days
2. Only one serving of nuts per day
3. Try a new recipe
Hey Otter you have a great time in London!! Some day I would love to go there and Paris too. |
