| Did anyone see the new Harry Potter yet? My son and I went last night and LOVED it! We think it's the best one so far! |

While I do have to say that it was pretty good, I was a little perturbed.
I know that they can't fit everything in from the book, but I thought that they left out some pretty important stuff.
And, they also completely changed some things. There were things that were changed and added that really didn't need to be changed or added and it was pointless. |

| Hoping to go Sunday. Will be the first one I have seen after reading the book. Sounds like a good one to have done in that order for a change! ;) |

DS and I saw it. We liked it a lot, too. Considering the book was well over 800 pages, they had to take SOME stuff out... Otherwise, we would STILL be there! I think most of the changes were OK, lots better than some of the previous movies.
I am currently reading my way through the first 6 books, so when the 7th one arrives on Saturday, I will be reminded of all the things I have forgotten since I read them last, and will be ready to jump right in! I am on Book 5, so I will soon see everything that they left out of the movie that I forgot about!
I am anxious to see what happens...

I thought it was OK as a summer action movie, but perhaps the least like the book of any of the previous movies. Hits most of the major plot lines and "events" and information, but really this one as a movie was just all about Harry. Even the supporting cast, wasn't much support other than Delores Umbridge as the villian everyone loves to hate! More like a superhero flick almost, although even in Spiderman they bring in more characterization and depth than they did in this one. I thought each of the other ones stood on their own as their own movie and story and this one seemed like more of a sequel and prequel. More of like just a chapter in the story, but not really a story on its own.
Favorite SFX? (attention possible spoilers below!)
Mine was probably the Dumbledore/Voldemort battle scene, esp when Dumbledore has Voldemort inside the sphere of water and is rotating it around in space and kind of wrapping it tighter and tighter around him.
Helena Bonham Carter was fun as Bellatrix LeStrange. Looking forward to her return!
Wish they had done more with Tonks! |

| I absolutely loved it. The whole family goes to see it . We make it a big deal. That and star wars . I think we're nerds lol But anyways. I loved it.But I to felt it was rushed and it could have stood another hour. But that just my opinion. |

Ditto... I was really disapointed... |
