RESTARTED 06/05/06!!
Hi all, I'm Meg. I'm 26, about 5'5" and am weighing in at 217.5 pounds.
I started this WOL yesterday, 5/10/04.
Current Weight: 217.5
Goal Weight: 160 (maybe more, but I was comfy with this)
Here is my eating plan from yesterday:
PHASE 1
7am-- 2 eggs, fried (only sprayed with ICINB) and 2 peices of Turkey Bacon.
11am- 2 ham roll-ups
1:30pm- 6 oz canned in water tuna with a bit of mayo and onion. 6 spears of asparagus.
3:30 pm--1oz part-skim mozzarella
6pm--lean ground beef with ff refried beans & Black beans. Topped with lf cheddar and some of the Hellmans Carb Options ketchup. Sounds weird, but it was yummy!
8pm--3/4 serving of the almond joy ricotta creme.
For drinks: 1 big bottle water, lots of cf diet coke (need to cut down) and a diet sunkist.
Let me know if there is something I can do better or I messed up on! |

I guess that I'm really upset with myself for not keeping the weight off from my surgery. Yes, I'm wayyyy lighter than I was. I have every excuse in the book...got out of an abusive relationship, very controlling, he even controlled what we ate. I met someone new, and have been very happy for the past year. So what else do I do when I am happy, mad, sad? I eat, lol. Alot of people are amazed that there are people out there that gain weight after the surgery. My doctor said he can't tell the difference between my stomach and a "normal" person's. Besides the scar tissue.
Anyways, i think I'm doing good so far. There's even Chocolate Chip Muffins in the office today...I am tempted, but I will resist. One of the girls here doesn't believe in dieting, only cutting way back on portions. I told her it's not a diet, it's just basically eating healthier and better.
I had a headache yesterday. And I am beat...I'm so darn tired! I want to sleep for another 4 hours at least! Tell me this part goes away soon? |

It does go away Meg! The tiredness will pass in a day or two... you are detoxing from all the processed junk and sugar, and then you will feel great!
This is definately a way of life, and a way you can stick with forever. Welcome to the Beach. Sounds like you are doing great. Don't stress about the diet soda. I have cut back some since I started this in January but still drink 3 or 4 a day with no ill effects. I am scaling back slowly. Just keep on keeping on... one day at a time. |

| Thanks for the support Qwill! It doesn't help that I have a job where I have to think all darn day, lol. Yesterday was better with the diet soda. I used to drink Pepsi all day, so it's quite a switch. I'm glad to know the tiredness does go away! :D |

Here's yesterday's plan:

B-cheese eggs (2 egss with some 2% American, splash of milk a spray of butter)
S-2 hams roll-ups
L-Hunk of Salmon, 1/2 artichoke.
S-Skipped
D-Beef stew and smashed beans. Lean beef, beef broth, a bit of wine with fresh mushrooms. Used Musicme's recipe for beans.
S-One peanut butter cookie with 1/4 cup milk.
Accomplishment of the day: Not eating the Orvil Reddenbaucher's Pour Over Movie Theater Butter Popcorn that my dear, dear BF made last night...not one kernel baby! Go me!

| Side Rant: My BF's mother is having a party for me this weekend. Now, no-one I know is going to be there, besides family. None of my friends...but hers and his sister's. Kinda weird, but oh well. The point is that she was asking me if I wanted macaroni salad or potato...I said neither. Then she goes "I guess you don't want any cake." I told her, have it, I'm not having any. Then she tell me to just forget the diet for a day! Sigh. I'm not going to get through 6 days of P1 to blow it on cake. |

hi Meg :)
Don't let anyone try and bust your success. I know it's not easy, and ppl have a hard time accepting when someone makes a change for themselves and life becomes different. You can stick with SBD and you will, have faith in yourself. Perhaps you could prepare a dish to bring to the party and eat that while you're there.. at least you'd be safe.
Good luck and stay strong.

Thanks Heather! I was thinking of bringing some asparagus and broccoli. She is making burgers, and she only buys lean meat, so I'm safe there. I figure I'll eat before I go and then bring some stuff with. Thank you for your support!

Hi Meg. Welcome and congrats on the lbs you've already lost. I just started on Tuesday and am really excited about this. I don't want to get on the scale until May 24th. That's my 2 weeks. I'm worried about next Friday. I'm having a friend stay over so that we can have some girl time. She has some problems that are eating her up and I promised her we would laugh, cry, and drink til we were silly. This promise was made on mothers day while she cried for hours on my shoulder. I can't renege on the promise and hope that I don't have to start my phase 1 over especially since it will end the following Monday. Maybe I'll just nurse my Dirty Martinee. Maybe, I'll just cook us some really great LF food and we can sip on Crystal light and watch movies in between the cry fest. That sounds like a great idea. Good luck Meg. Keep in touch.

How about some of the PB cookies...and there's nothing better than a yummy steak (nice and lean for us of course!) I'm gonna make the Chocolate Bean Cake soon, so maybe that ? Movies are a good thing...and I think you being there for your friend is the greatest gift you could give her and the most helpful too!
Thanks for your support! I'm gonna stay off the scale til Monday, which will be my one week. Be strong with your last few days on P1...I know I would hate to start all over again! |

Phase 1, Day 4
B-2 eggs, 2 pc. turkey bacon
S-2 ham roll-ups
L- Salmon, some asparagus
S- one peanut butter cookie
D-top loin steak with broccoli and sauteed mushrooms.
S-1/4 c. SF FF choclate pudding with 1 tsp cool whip lite. Man was that good!
Am I doing ok? I know I shouldn't have had the pb cookie and the pudding in the same day, but last night was banana split night and I think it was a better choice than a split!
I'm feeling slightly more energetic, which is good, because i have a 55 pc. candle order to fill tomorrow! I'm not as sleepy, etc. |

Am I obsessing? Of course I got on the scale this morning and I gained a pound! Aunt Flo stopped by yesterday, could that be it? I know I'm not supposed to weigh myself each and every morning, but I can't help it!
If someone has any suggestions for me...I know that I should be drinking more water...
Here's what I ate yesterday...
B-2 scrambled eggs and 2 pc turkey bacon with 1 pc 2% cheese
S- cucumber slices (10) and a cheese stick
L-lettuce, chicken breast, ham and cheese roll ups (2)
S- 1 pc SF chocolate peanut butter cup
D-turkey dog (2) with homemade chili and LF Cheddar cheese sprinkled on top.
S-SF FF chocolate pudding with 1 tsp cool whip lite on top
Is it the pudding or the cheese? I noticed I ate a lot of cheese yesterday. That pudding always seems to stall weight loss too. |
