I had some major headaches the first week. Keep drinking plenty of water - I swear it does help. I read all your posts and it seems like you are doing really well. Keep up the good work and browse this site endlessly - the recipes and support are great!
I noticed we are almost the same as far as height, weight and goals. I will do my best to keep you motivated and your progress will keep my motivated as well. :D |

| Hello, just going through everyone's journal this morning and thought I'd offer what I can. Now, I'm only on the 5th day of P2, so I'm by no means an expert. However, I have learned this...you should not worry about exact quantities at all. As long as you are eating the appropriate foods and you're eating enough to be satisfied rather than gorging yourself your weight will come off. Also, 1-2 pds a week on P2 is what Dr. A suggests. Also, that 1-2 pds will flutuate daily for some. hence, stay off the scale and weigh occasionally. I agree, it looks to me like you could add some food. I can't recall, have you been to fitday.com to see your caloric intake-it can't be much. I'm not sure of your build, weightloss is different for various body types, but I do know you need to eat until you are full and eat your snacks whether you're hungry or not. Remember, the quantity of food you need is so individual based on size, activity level, everything, but 2 cups of lettuce v. 3 cups of lettuce should not be an issue. Dr A says eat all that you want of allowable foods within reason-there are no specifics so, try not to think that way. |

I don't know how I could eat more. I measure and make sure that I get 2cups of veggies min at each meal other than the 6oz V8 every mourning with breakfast. My snacks are all of a protein source. I am drinking at the very minimum of 64oz of water (not counting coffee or decaffe or diet soda). I am 5'5" and started SBD at 175lbs wearing a size 16/14 depending on make of pants. I have lost 8lbs to date so I should be very happy with my results and suck it up and keep plugging along. I just want to be able to get the maximum bennefit of SBD. Thanks for your input!

| I think you could eat more substantial snacks. Maybe a lettuce wrap made w/ham or turkey and veggies rather than just a mozz cheese string, etc. I think your meals are fabulous! Also, loss is slower for lower weights. Also, some people will lose, stall, lose, stall-that could be you!! |
