Hi! Has anyone else here seen Disney's Ratatouille cartoon/movie?
I saw it today with my 4-yr-old daughter, and we laughed the whole way through! I think most people in here would appreciate the humor, since we are all "foodies" in one way or another.
If you get a chance to see it, go! It's one of those movies that after it's done, you think back about things that were said or you pick up on other messages in the story, etc.
It's much better than the advertisements/trailers show (which is different, for a change!) |

| My stepson (he's 44 ) and his wife went to see it and absolutely loved it. Oh and they don't even have any kids to take. |

| Great movie I highly recommend it. Even if I didn't have kids I would have gone to see it. Pixar can do no wrong. |

I wanted to go see this movie because I thought it looked "cute" and my little girl wanted to see it. What I didn't expect was so much humor - and a lot of it understated. I can't tell you how many times I picked up on things going on in the kitchen with other cooks, etc, that no one else around me seemed to notice.
Then there's the world's nastiest food critic - Mr. Ego. He's so thin he looks like a walking corpse and at one point the movie switches to his personal home office/chambers. You get a bird's eye view of the room - which I bet no one else picked up on as being in the shape of a coffin.
A few other adults chuckled under there breaths, but I was the only adult actually laughing. Laughling for the true pleasure of it is why I go to the movies and pay $20! |

I took my 5 year old to see this and we had a blast! It was such a cute movie. :)
I picked up on all the little things most people don't see. I laughed alone a few times. Got a few strange looks.
Re: Mr. Ego, his typewriter was also in the shape of a skull. He was such a creepy, gothic guy but you had to love him at some point.
Go to the IMDB website and look up the movie. You'll learn more about the connections to other movies and the other little things most people didn't see. Really interesting. ;) |
