in the 4 weeks i have been on SB, i have been keeping track of my measurements. both my thighs were 23 when i first measured. now my right is at 22 and my left is still at 23! i can't figure out why. i don't do any sports where kicking is involved where i'd use one leg more than the other. i walk, jog and do weight machines.
one thing i thought of is that my left leg is about 1" longer than my right, could it just be that jogging works my shorter leg more or something? if so, would putting a support pad in my right leg to try and even them up help that at all? i am perplexed! has anyone else had uneven losses like this? i have this picture in my head of my right leg becoming toned and slender and my left leg still being bulky, lol. |

| I think that a 1" difference won't be noticeable, so try not to obsess about it. If it turns into a 4" difference I give you permission to obsess. |

A 1 inch leg length discrepancy is actually significant, for a normal person you can expect up to 1/2" and even some people have problems with that amount. You might find a heel lift of around 3/8-1/2" would potentially make you feel better or work out each leg. Your long leg is acting like a pole vault and taking the bulk of the work you are doing, a sort of modified limp.
Recent studies suggest that the body part that is working releases more fat for energy and it might be possible to target fat burning somewhat so that could be where the differences are coming from. |

Ain't that the truth!
Are you using a lift in your shoe? You should as you'll get wear on your joints over the years ~ hip and knee. My mom had one leg that was three inches shorter (pretty drastic) and wore a special shoe. |

| Isn't the original poster saying the circumference of her thighs is now different? Thigh size has nothing to do with needing lifts. |

i am talking about thigh circumference, but one of my theories for the difference was the fact that i do have one leg shorter than the other.
thanks for the advice everyone. i will look into getting a small lift. i used to wear one, and should go back to it. i don't want to face problems down the road because i was too vain to address it earlier in life. :) |
