Thanks for taking all this on meemoo and for starting the first week threads. Time to get down to business!
Hi Team! Well I guess first order of the day is coming up with a name for ourselves so let me know if anyone has any ideas. I'll get my thinking cap on too.
I am really motivated when it comes to working out and up until September I was a certified trainer. I love to be in the gym and I love to feel strong. I hurt my back over a year ago and used that as an excuse not to workout. Well, I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've dropped about 20lbs and I feel great! I truly enjoy watching the changes I can make to my body when I put the effort in.
I am spending the next week away from home with my DH but that won't stop me working out - I'm just going to have to be creative with it. My goals for the week are as follows:
1. Eat clean 6/7 days.
2. Glute work 3x through the week.
3. Hard ab work 4x.
I hope you all are as excited as I am to get started with a new challenge. Here's hoping we kick butt! |

Hello everyone! I'm really excited about this challenge. I tend to be less than enthusiastic when it comes to exercising. Love how I feel after I work out but I generally have to talk myself into doing it. I plan on kicking plenty of butt this challenge though. So here are my goals for this week
1. Stretch after all workouts
2. Eat clean everyday this week (kinda went overboard this weekend)
3. Eat breakfast within an hour of waking up, 6/7days
Also I plan on drinking at least 80oz of water each day. As for the name I don't have any ideas. |

Hi everyone! Hope you are all out there kicking your butts today!
Today I have spent my first day away from home. I took the kids out on their scooters and I walked along with my poles behind them for a little over 30 minutes. Not my normal hard cardio but it will have to do. Came home and dropped off the scooters/poles. The kids wanted to go to a playground at the other end of the street so I ran all the way back with the kids for a boost. Tonight, DH and I went out for another walk (15mins) and I jumped rope for a while when we got back for a push it bonus.
Tonight, DH and I are going to do a strength training workout with reistance balls and some ab/glute work too. I may be away from home but I am determined to work it all week!
How is everyone else doing? |

| So far so good for me. Yesterday I went to the gym and did 30min on the elliptical machine and about 15 min of strength training. I think this morning I am gonna get my cardio in outdoors. The rains are about to come in which means its not sickeningly hot today. Plus I get a little bored on machines in the gym. I always feel like a hamster on its wheel. |

I hope everyone is doing well. I am starting from Sunday because of vacation.
Sunday:
cardio: treadmill. I normally run 2 intervals of 1 - 1.5 mile at 10 min mile pace but yesterday ran 2.5 continuous. before longest was 1.5. Push it bonus for that. 8)
did a ball/ core abs workout for 20 min last night for strength plus added some arm weights for upper body.
Made a new recipe, big breakfast cookie. I made into bars for healthy homemade granola bars for snacks . 8 bars out of triple recipe, so it is only about 1/3 serving each. one of my weekly goals done.
had all my water and ate 100% beachy
Today:
cardio: 40 min on treadmill. 2 x 1.5 mile intervals total of 3.75 miles
just have to finish the glass of water beside me to meet my goal
plan to do another core ball workout tonight. not sure which one.
ate 100% beachy today and dinner will be leftovers, so should stay 100% for today.
I hope everyone is doing well.
I guess we neeed to decide on a name. |

End of day 2(Tuesday) for me and I'm exhausted. I had lots of errands to run today but I stayed away from taxis and walked instead. I walked to post to do the laundry and to get some groceries. Also took a long walk around the neighborhood this afternoon and climbed the big monster of a hill twice instead of once as I have been doing. Also managed to get a little ab work in.
So far I'm on track with drinking plenty of water and eating clean, which has been a challenge since DH keeps snacking on chips and salsa.
dlk way to push it on your run :D |
