| I'm 5'6'' and I weigh 150, I want to be thin again so I'm really going to do this. Feeling even a little overweight has been making me feel awful and very depressed. Every 4 days I'm going to share my success because I'm so motivated to give my 110% that I think I can weigh 120 in as little as 4 weeks. That is an average of 7 lbs a week. I know this isnt healthy but depression isnt healthy either. Just wait and see and I know I can and will succeed. |

waaver, be careful when setting unrealistic goals for yourself, because you are only setting yourself up for disappointment. while you might see rapid weight loss early in the diet, I think that it is physically impossible for you to lose 7 lbs/wk for 4 weeks straight unless you were morbidly obese.
If you are depressed, please see your doctor - weight loss is not going to cure it. |

| hi waaverking...i am 5'7 and am slowly creeping my way up to 150. i want to be 120-125 too. i too was used to being rail-thin and this whole year ive been yo-yo dieting trying to get my weight down. i started off countless diets setting goals like the ones you seem to have. truth be told, that never worked! its unsettling to think that for 2-2.5 months we have to be eating a certain way. and it isnt easy. and it gets VERY depressing. but i think since ive found this message board ill have a decent amount of encouragement...visit the "Little Losers" board too....I've found there that a lot of people are in our position, and whenever you know there are others out there that understand what you're going through...it makes things easier:). |

| A quick fix is just that - 'a quick fix' Be patient and follow the books suggestions, it will all come off (if indeed you really need to lose that much.) Good things come to those who wait. |
