I'm starting phase one tomorrow, and I was wondering if I can exercise as well. I usually do 30 min to one hour five times per week, and I am used to eating a lot of carbs, so I just want to make sure I can safely keep this up.
I usually do walking or some other type of cardio.
If it helps, I'm 5'4", about 152 lbs, 26 yrs old and relatively fit. |

You absolutely can, but definitely make sure you eat your dairy and beans daily to give your body the carbs it needs to stay fueled for those workouts ... Phase 1 can be tough for anything heavy-duty in the exercise department.
You're off to a great start! |

| I exercised during P1...definitely had to keep the intake of beans and yogurt or dairy up...otherwise I was feeling pretty sick  You can do it! |

there's no reason why you can't....make sure you get plenty of water and have an SB appropriate snack at least 1/2 before your workout. |

Because you actually need the good carbs they provide, particularly in P1 when other carb sources are limited and especially if you need the ready energy to exercise on top of just daily moving around which was the original question people were responding to earlier in the thread.
Milk should be nonfat or 1% fat. Yogurt should be plain and nonfat. 2 cups maximum per day in any combination. |
