Apologies in advance if someone already asked the question, but has anyone heard of Wu-Long tea? Apparently it helps you shed lbs fast and improve your skin and whiten your teeth. And best of all Oprah endorses it! I know lame. I don't think there's a quick fix to losing weight, but just curious if anyone has thoughts on this or has tried it before. Thanks!

Yes! I bought a box about 6 months ago. ($60+). It doesn't do anything, unless you use a balanced diet program and portion control. It doesn't taste very good either. It comes with a suggested diet plan to use with the tea. If you follow a balanced diet or any kind of reduced calorie diet, or low sugar diet, any over-the-counter green tea or "diet tea with help you lose weight.

Oprah only endorses it because she drinks it every night as a part of her healthy eating and fitness regimen. The Tea alone really doesn't do anything.

No matter what program or product you use for weight loss, it will involve modifying your diet and adding some kind of exercise if it is to be successful and long lasting.

It is a good thing to incorporate into your healthy lifestyle along with this WOE, but alone its a waste of money.

I drink Oolong tea (its the same thing) and it cost me about £2 for 50 teabags. It's said to speed up your metabolism and whatnot, much like green tea. I personally really like the taste. I don't know if it makes you lose much weight because obviously its combined with diets and exercise. But in theory it does. I do find though, that if I don't get my green tea and oolong tea, I get spots and feel pretty lethargic.
