Well, Saturday the 30th marked two years for me and my healthy life. June 30, 2005 my DH and I had a totally cleaned out and restocked kitchen and started this adventure to get our lives and our bodies back to something we were happy with, and to get ourselves in a much healthier place than where we were at.
And it's been a great 2 years!
What I posted a year ago to mark the end of year 1 still holds true:

I began and continue to exercise regularly.
I am never hungry.
I eat the best food!
I have become a food snob at the grocery store as I notice what other people put in their carts.
I think about how bad my grocery cart used to look too.
I am confident in my food choices when not at home or cooking for myself.
I have never felt guilty about my food choices in the last year. I love what I eat, and anything in indulge in is a choice - no need to feel guilty. I could have said no.
I don't let the scale dictate my mood or my eating habits.
I do continue to weigh each day.
My confidence and self-esteem are back.
I found THE BEST online support system. Ever. 8)
And this is who I am now. Forever. No stopping. No going back. This is how I operate.
My weight loss over the past year has been in the 6-9 lb range, but I easily maintained the first 80 lb loss.
I continued to exercise regularly and looked forward to it (mostly... :wink: )
I have never stopped thinking about food, but think about it a little differently now with my focus being on eating balanced meals and not about how much junk I can consume.
And at this point I have reached a goal that was always in the back of our minds when we decided getting healthy was a priority in our lives - I am having a healthy pregnancy! There was no way we wanted to start a family at the size I was at - this is more like it!
Just wanted to share and thank everyone for so much support in these last 2 years. Looking forward to many more!
I did post pics a year ago in the Before & After forum that I still shake my head at from time to time, too. This is the one that I "like" the most and for the most part, except for a slightly expanding waistline, is still where I'm at.

Anne, I love your success story - it is such an important demonstration of the transformation that can occur both physically and in mindset when healthy eating and exercise are adopted as a lifestyle! You have so much common sense and a wonderful sense of humor !!
