Tubby Teacher

I tried the low carb Special K cereal to see what it was like because my daughter wanted to try a box. At 5'2" and 104 lbs, she is at her goal weight now. Since she is a cheerleader and practices are starting (they go through the summer), she is trying to eat her carbs before practice so she has them for the burn. That means that breakfast goes to a lower carb option for her.

I wound up crashing around ten in the morning since I eat breakfast at 5:30. That did not work for me for third period, so I went back to eggs and turkey sausage for breakfast. That holds me until lunch, which is humus and veggies with a string cheese stick and an apple. Granted, after five months of the same basic bag lunch on Phase 2, I have reached the point where I eat to live rather than live to eat during the day. Dinner and weekends are when I get to actually cook (which I enjoy).

I am also a teacher. I eat at around 6 in the morning. As I have the later lunch, I just can't seem to make it from breakfast to lunch. At the beginning of fourth period I always have string cheese. I let my students have a small snack too, since I figure if I'm hungry they are too. They really appreciate it, and I have enough energy to get through to lunch itself.

I haven't ever tried the special K in the morning; I have only eaten for dinner on busy days. Often I will have milk and a flaxmeal muffin, which is surprisingly satisfying and sticks with you for longer than you'd think.
