Hey Everybody! I am a newbie to the site NOT to my adult long battle of le bulge. I am from NC but live in the desert of the pacific NW now. Would rather scrapbook and paint than hike and walk and aerobisize (honesty here no need to "sugar coat" on this site...hahaha) But I ALWAYS feel better after I do and always see better results)

Browsing around the site I have seen WW comments pro and con and am myself now combining the good from WW with the EXCELLENCE of SB. I personally need the accountability of the weekly weigh in but don't care for the meetings even though they are well meaning and all. I also agree with opinions I have read about the manipulation of the points system. My family has Diabetes history, not dire but the existence is dire enough for me. I feel the SB way of eating is good for my family as well as myself. I garden and love the idea of using my hobby to promote healthier eating for my precious kids. Is it that hard to sub in healthier carbs in eating? YEh, realistically it is till you develop the new routines and lifestyles.
Hormonal and emotional tsunamis  also happen but I am teaching myself that one screwed up day really doesn't have to ruin all my success. Forgive yourself and move on! (*note ONE day not SEVERAL ones in a row like I used to have...sigh...)
I really appreciate all the positive info and realistic opinions. Does anyone else out there weekly menu plan for their families? I am trying to develop menu plans I can rotate.
But anyhoo... I just thought I would say hey and see if anyone else out there had sorta Merged the 2. I really don't think that healthy carb choices are pushed by the majority of groups even though there are those who luck out and really get an extremely informed instructor.
