| Why do I feel fatter, dizzy, bloated, etc. I've been reading the forums and apparently am not the only one. Is this just another fad or does it really really work? |

That's funny because after the first couple of days I felt lighter and I could suck in my stomach, as if something was out of the way. It was probably water loss.
I have a couple of thoughts. Are you drinking plenty of water. If not, maybe your body is retaining water. Drink water and your body will release retained water.
This is an uncomfortable question, but are you having regular bowel movements? Maybe you need more fiber. Of course you aren't getting that from whole grains during Phase I, but maybe some raw brocolli would help or okra, or greens.
One time a couple of weeks ago, I had realized it had been a few days for me and I took a fiber tablet. It got me going again. LOL Haven't had a problem since.
Again, sorry for the sensitive nature of this reponse. |

| My bodily functions work just fine thanks. And yes, I am drinking plenty of water. I seriously am a little tired of having to run to the bathroom constantly... :-) I find the protein almost too much. I feel heavy. I thought that I would feel lighter but I don't. It's very discouraging. I'm not sure how much longer I can last on this diet. I feel terrible and was wanting to know if anyone else felt this crappy. I am eating what I should and understand it somewhat. I just feel like crap. It's very discouraging... oops, I said that already. |

I'm sorry to hear that you feel bad. Maybe it will pass in a couple of days.
Hey, maybe you don't need that much protein. Maybe your body just isn't use to it.
Let us know how you are coming along |

Here is what I am eating. 2 eggs with salsa or canadian bacon with low fat cheese in the morning
snack - part skim mozzarella stick
lunch - cottage cheese, tomato and cucumber - just a bowl
snack - nuts
supper - lean pork shops and a salad + veg
I don't eat a lot but drink a fair amount of water. I wish I could shake the bloody dizziness and fuzzy-headedness too. |

That all sounds good to me.
Hang in there. Hope it passes.
You know we all have days when we just feel like crap for no apparent reason. |

HI Dizzy-sorry to hear that you're feeling so bad! You know it may just be that you are feeling the effects of your body cleansing itself.
I never felt ill but on my tenth day I thought I was going to loose my mind.
If you don't feel like you can do this-don't do it.You are not going to make yourself healthier while making yourself sick.Good luck Dizzy!! |

I am not have BMs like I used too and I do feel very uncomfortable and bloated. I am drinking a lot of water, and lots of veggies. I have 2 eggs for breakfast and V8, cheese sticks for snack, salad at lunch, afternoon snack (celery or rollups), and about 4 oz poulty/fish and steamed broccoli or cauliflower (still crunchy) and another salad.
I was thinking of drinking a glass of Metamusil before meals.
This is officially day 3 for me.
Besides that, I feel really great. Lots of energy, no headaches and in a great mood all the time. I do urinate about 100 times a day. |

Hi Casper,
Just to let you know both my husband and I felt the same way the first couple of days. Then we both (how do I put this??) had a "purging" that was unusual to say the least. After that everything has been fine. Its probably something to do with the S.B. because of it happening to both of us at the same time. Now into our 2ond. week and loving it. Hang in there. |

| I too am starting to have trouble in the B.M. department. I know it is lack of fiber. I am going to take something for that. Also I get really bloated... but only in the evening. I get really bloated after my evening meal and then the gas starts...... By morning... I am back to normal. It's the veggies that give the gas.... this diet's restictions seem to let you have all the wonderful veggies that give you gas.... I have considered taking Beano. Perhaps my body will adjust to them.... anyway.... No diet is without some kind of sacifice.... I'd rather have gas than be hungry..... |

| I found out that I am one of the ones that bloated up when taking the Metamulcil. Once I quit that, I was fine.. |

| Sorry to hear so many folks feel bloated. I thought with eating all the veggies that I would feel that way, but for some reason I haven't felt that way at all. Even when it's that time of the month. I guess everyone's body is different. |
