What workout worked for you and why?

I just thought it would be interesting to hear about different workouts or fitness routines that have worked for different people.

What is a typical workout for you and why you swear by it?

My workout routine is an evolving thing. Two years ago it was BodyPump at the gym 3 times, noon or afternoon, a week. That lasted until late last fall when I changed my routine to Monday through Friday at 5:30 AM and 8:30 AM on Saturday. With that schedule I was doing at the gym 3 BodyPump, 2 BodyStep, and a BodyFlow. Just last month it changed again to Monday 5:30 AM BodyPump, Tuesday 5:30 AM BodyFlow, Wednesday 5:30 AM BodyPump, Thursday 5:30AM BodyStep with 6:35 PM BodyCombat, Friday free, Saturday 7:30 AM BodyPump followed direct by BodyStep, and finally Sunday with 9:35 AM BodyCombat. If I get into the class of BodyVive instructor it will change again, how I do not know!

Why: Endorphins are addictive, intense exercise also relieves my osteoarthritis and finally there is a big social factor.

for me, nothing works as good as running or walking on the treadmill/outdoors

I like to alternate between workouts I've purchased from Beachbody

Power 90 (12 weeks)
Slim in Six (six weeks + there are follow up videos)
Turbo Jam is the most fun
Project You

I also really like my elliptical. I have problems with my knees, so running isn't an option, but the elliptical allows me to do a great cardio workout without the impact.
