Ok, so is it just me, or is Lululemon's sizing really wonky?
Don't get me wrong - for the first time in about TEN years, I bought myself some shorts - 2 pairs from Lululemon. The only shorts I've ever put on as an adult and felt comfortable in. Yay for me!
However, I'm a solid size 14/16. When Lulu first became popular in Canada, about 4 years ago, I went into a store to try on some yoga pants. At this time, I was about 10 pounds thinner than I am now. Couldn't fit into the largest size they had.
Went into the store yesterday with a friend with no intention of buying. The largest size there was a size 12, so I wasn't going to bother trying anything on. My friend insisted that she usually has to go down a size or two, and then opened up a pair of shorts and showed me how big they are. I was skeptical, but went and tried on the size 12 - I was AMAZED that they fit and are even a bit roomy (but in a way that looks good). I also tried on a pair of yoga pants and got into a SIZE 10. Too bad I know way too much about vanity sizing to actually chalk it up to an NSV huh lol.
Anyways, for those girls out there wanting some cool new workout clothes - lulu might actually work for you, even if you think they won't carry your size.
Just thought I'd mention it. Clothes shopping sucks sometimes. |

| I love Lululemon clothing! The prices are absolutely crazy, but the clothing is soooo worth it. I just splurged and bought a pair of capris, a pair of shorts, and a running top......well over $200! I find the sizes are pretty on par with the sizes of the clothing that I purchase in the states. However, I usually wear a size 11/12 and the recent pair of capris I bought were a size 6! :shock: Maybe, just maybe, the June challenge is paying off.....:) |

| You might be onto something there Amy - perhaps lulu changed their sizing when they began opening more stores all over the continent! In any case, works for me! I've been lounging in these shorts all day and seriously, I feel soooooooo comfy - and they don't get all stretched out and weird looking, they hold their shape and I get to look pretty darned cute in them :wink: |

| Ny name is Wiley and I am addicted to Lululemon for yoga! I go down a size since they stretch some after wear-especially the tops. Capris with slit in back were worth every penny!!! |
