I'll bet you would MG!
Looks like we're down to 7 people. We'll probably be getting one from another team that still has 10. Using the average for three players to go along with our 7--we have 869 points for the week. 1723 combined score for the two weeks so far.
We are doing awesome!!!! |

Uugh.... this week is crap.....
Forcing myself to post this so that I won't be tempted to completely run away and hide.
The apartment search AND job search are in full swing... my parents are on vacation and I'm looking after the house... and the big thing, I've been going through all sorts of crap in my bedroom that's accumulated over the past 23 years. Seriously, there are piles of art projects I did when I was in kindergarten, and school notebooks from practically every grade... it's all so overwhelming.
Not making excuses, just ..... whew. It's just a lot.
One of the most interesting things is I've been going through massive amounts of accumulated clothing. While at college I developed a collection of basic clothing that I'd bring to the dorms every year, so a lot of the stuff here is from high school or earlier.
And it's been interesting, because most of it I'd given up on because it stopped fitting. Some of it's really pretty small, and some of it's pretty "young" so I don't really care anyway - I mean I don't WANT to wear my entire high school wardrobe anymore. :)
But there've been a few cute things I've found that I like and that FIT again, and that's pretty fun. Also a couple things (bought more recently) that are too big! Amazing.
So that's been nice, but seriously, it's been almost ten loads of laundry over the last few days (it's not all dirty or anything, but a lot of it was crumpled up, and I'm going to bring a lot of it to a consignment shop so I figured it should be "freshened" up anyway).
I'm hoping going through and getting rid of some of this physical STUFF will help me feel better emotionally too.... I just feel worn out thinking of all this STUFF I have, and I'm so young! My parents, and both of their parents, were all packrats too, so I know how completely out of control it can get, and just want to try to tackle some of it now.
Okay, seriously, WHAT did all that have to do with exercise!? Haha... Anyway, I did go to my yoga class on Monday, and I've done crunches a couple nights... haven't gone running though, and I'm not really sure why, I keep feeling like I WANT to, to pound out some of this stress, but I haven't done it. Bleh. We'll see how the next few days go... |

Hey DC! You sound like you need some endorphins--go for a run! Going through a lot of "stuff" can be overwhelming. Maybe just do a little bit at a time so it isn't so mindblowing. It is fun to look through old stuff and rethink the memories. Going through and getting rid of things that are no longer useful or needed can be quite freeing. Then you have room for the stuff you really care about and everything isn't all crammed together. Good for you--decluttering and simplifying!!!
Where is everyone? It's been super quiet on the boards this week. I'm looking forward to relaxing this weekend. We're having some good friends over for dinner tonight--grilled halibut, springtime rice, and asparagus parmigiana. We have a plum tree full of ripe fruit so for dessert I made a plum, raspberry, blackberry fruit compote to serve over vanilla ice cream (hold the ice cream for me). For appetizers I made fresh crab salad to serve on crackers, I'm going to stuff cherry tomatoes with diced fresh mozzarella and basil, and cut up fresh fruit. Plenty of stuff I can eat in there--no problem.
Sunday my husband and I are taking a break--we usually have my family over for dinner EVERY Sunday but entertaining on both of our days off every weekend can be a bit too much so we're taking a day off. It'll be so nice to just do what we want without having to stop and prepare for company. I'm really looking forward to it. Except for hiking (we are both now addicted to it and look forward to it--I never thought I'd be saying that), nothing else is planned, oh, one thing--we're going to practice BBQing a brisket on his new pellet smoker BBQ--that's it. We'll do whatever we feel like whenever we feel like doing it--aahhhhhhh!
Have a great weekend all and do try to relax a bit--I am!

| I'll post a new thread for this week's results this afternoon--don't want to post it too early so it'll get lost before everyone is ready to put in their results. Hope everyone had a good week! |
