| Is it just my computer or is this forum taking much longer to load pages again. This happened once before, but then they updated the server and it improved. Is anyone else having trouble with pages loading very very slowly? |

| I have had problems with the individual threads taking forever to load. I just attributed it to the server being extra busy with all us "chatties" on. It seems to be doing just fine right now though. |

What is strange is that my message asking this question never even loaded. My machine just went to a blank screen and when I check the forum, it wasn't there either.
Now today it says "moved" in front of it. For some strange reason it went into the General Chat area and now this message from me has gone there too.
Is it my machine or is there a ghost making me think I am going crazy? |

| recipelover, I had an incident a few days ago where I posted to my journal, got a double post, and when I deleted the extra post, my entire journal vanished into thin air. It finally came back the next day, but geez..........after 2-1/2 years of posting to it, to have it go away like that just about killed me! Not really sure what's going on with the server, but let's hope they get the problem straightened out soon! |

Well, I think the moderators move things when needed - so since you posted in the recipe forum, they moved it to general chat.. since the topic isn't food. :) I think so anyways.
but yeah this site has been super slow and annoying and now it's good (for me anyways) |

Yeah, a moderator most likely moved it from the recipe area since it wasn't food related.
I'm a moderator for another board and that's one of our jobs-to move off topic threads to the proper forum. |

| I've been having the same problems too. Probably from a lot of people being signed in and posting at once. Hopefully it gets better soon..I like checking the forum out on my break at work. :D |

yupper-de-dupper. I would be the mod who moved it here since it wasn't recipe or food related. We actually have the option of leaving the "ghost" image there that says it was moved (you can still click on it and it takes you to the thread in the new forum) or not, so you can still find it. One of our regular "clean up" type duties.
This afternoon it was pretty hopeless here, but tonight is pretty good. I've sent a PM to the system admin/forum owner, but don't know if it will be read or responded to at all. |
