| Do you think it is possible to lose two inches off hips in four weeks? I have heard that you can…with certain exercises…can you give me any tips on this? I am wanting to tone up the hip area…the whole bottom half. I am eating low fat…so I am already doing that right. Any tips on this? |

| Well I am just going to keep doing what i am doing...I just might pump it up to three times a week instead of two. I think I had got that info off fitness.com or self.com I am not quite sure. 8) |

Coastal M / I think riding a bike or walking is the best exercise... but I am not sure about the length of time.
Prevention magazine has a lot of helpful articles.
With this summer weather on us -- just melting away seems like a reasonable option!
Keep a smile  We are in this together! |

I wish!
I have, however, lost 3.875 inches off my hips in 5 months, so it can be done...maybe not quite so quickly as 4 weeks, though. All the loss has been due to diet and walking/jogging on a treadmill, with a very little bit of stationary cycling thrown in. I'll vouch for the exercise...I'm a natural pear and I lost more off of my hips than my bust. |

Wow, maltby, your tape measure is accurate to the THOUSANDTHS of an inch!? I'm just teasing, it's just the decimal for 7/8", I know, but it still makes me giggle :)
And to the original poster, I think 2 inches in 4 weeks is an unreasonable expectation.
A few weeks after starting a running program (Couch to 5K) as well as doing daily crunches, I HAVE noticed a huge difference in my hips especially, which is fantastic, since like maltby I'm a natural pear. But I'm not sure it's been two inches... maybe though. I could never get the hang of measuring in the same spot each time, so I've given up on measuring. I do know my pants are MUCH MUCH looser than they were before though, which is the same idea!
So I'd say, DO IT, but spare yourself the stress and agony of such a harsh time-based goal. If you get out and do it, you WILL see results, whether they be in four weeks or four months, and you WILL feel so much better and be SO GLAD you did it!!
Good luck! |

| I personally cannot say I have done so but my girlfriend joined Contours Express and lost 4" off her hips in 4 weeks so it can be done. Contours Express is like Curves only it uses real weight stack machines instead of hydraulic machines |

not to seem skeptical, but 4" in four weeks? all off the same place? i just don't see how that is possible. |
