Today marks two months of this WOE for me. It has been such an interesting journey! It amazes me to think I have not had cookies/cake/sweets in two months (except a little on Memoria Day!!) when I used to dive in at 4 PM every afternoon and eat them while I made my kids' dinner! Yuck!! The thought of it now is nauseating!
I have lost 13 pounds and though I had envisioned the fat melting off me in the beginning, reality has set in and I realize it's a slow process. But today, even if I didn't lose another pound, I feel so much better than I did before, I would never go back - at least I don't plan to!
I don't think I could have stuck to it like I have without this forum to turn to when I was confused and/or discouraged! Thanks to all! |

Cathy that is so great to hear....
it's great when we find that how we eat makes us feel better so we eat that way for that reason and the weight comes off too! how cool is that. |

| I am about 2m on this WOE/WOL as well and am 15lbs lighter. :) I have to say that I also feel the weight loss at this point is fringe benefit to feeling better/having more engery and being overall a healthier person. |

| Isn't amazing enm? I have never been a dieter! At first I though exercise should be enough and then realized without diet you are just covering up the fat with muscle, but it is still there! Now I feel like I have the combination right for once - although I could work out a bit more! Good luck to you - I hope your success continues as well! |

Congratulations! The weight loss is great, but the change in attitude AND how you feel physically is FABULOUS. You're a terrific role model!
I'm back on the Beach, this time for good, and am at Day 2 of Week 2 of Phase 1. Feeling better physically and mentally than I have in MONTHS. So remarkable. What a gift this WOE is, eh? |

| hi, this is also my second month (started april 9) and I've lost 37 lbs... this forum is very nice, it encourages us to do our best. And yes, diet plays a major role in loosing weight and exercise helps.. |

Great job everybody! Yesterday was my third month anniversary and I've lost about 21lbs. I feel great and I can't imagine going back to the way I was cooking and eating.
Keep up the good work! |

buddysmom- I was the same way. I used to lose weight by running, but never altered how I ate- so as soon as I stopped running it came right back (and then a bit more...)
I also enjoy that I continue to lose as I add back more food (i.e. increase fruits/grains during P2). It is counter-intuitive, but its great! :)
Great progress everyone! |

Hubby and I started 4/16 and we've never felt better.
He has lost 20 lbs and I have lost 16! We both agree that slow and steady is working fine. In fact, sometimes we're not that hungry and have to make ourselves eat because when we don't...........the weight loss stalls completely.
This is the first time I've lost weight without diet pills or a broken heart. I started out losing hoping to fit in my summer clothes and now they're almost too big! I was tired of my jeans fitting tight (blamed it on the dryer LOL) and feeling sluggish and tired all the while shoveling the worst food in my mouth.
The veggies, lean protein and good carbs are definitely the way to go. I recommend this WOE to everyone that will listen to me. I come from a long line of "big boned" women and now I know it's just an excuse.
The BEACH is fantastic. My hubby and I are in total agreement that the food has never tasted better.
COME ON IN.....................THE BEACH IS GREAT! |
