I am totally up to speed with my workouts this week. I have one more strength routine and a final cardio workout to do tomorrow and then I have hit all my exercise goals for the week (except two more days of push-ups - no problem!). I've downed at least a gallon of water a day and eaten clean all week. I increased the level on the elliptical machine last time I was in there too so I know I have earned at least one 'push it' bonus. I'm going to kick my butt on push-ups tonight to earn another.
So although I haven't checked in every day this week, I have been working hard and am on course to do you all proud! Also, my scale dropped to 140lbs this morning! Oh I am SO pleased about that! |

Never posted my weekly goals but they were in my journal, here goes:
1. Stick with no weekday drinkin!
2) Walk at least 10k steps a week on my pedometer
3) count cals sun-friday. |

Hi everyone!
Well I finally got my first strength training in for the this weekand will do a lower body strength training session tomorrow. That will complete my weekely requirements. I have also been doing additional cardio sessions in the evenings so it should help bring up my weekly points to a respectable level.
This week has been really hard for me because I am not working at my office where the gym is located, so I have had to improvise my routine. The cardio was no problem to fit nto--but strength training I had to make an effort to get to the gym and do something!
Caffrey~ Oh!! I am so happy for you!! I am so close to 140 right now, but still hanging out at 142--You sound like you got this thing going great!! My next mini goal (not challenge related) is to break into the 130's--haven't seen them since 2000!!!
This weekend DH and I are going to the "Army Ball" in Washington DC and I have Saturday night saved as one of my planned splurges
I am not sure what the weekly tallies are on which team has the highest points but I am sure happy we are all hanging tough!!

Great job everyone. Caffery -- that is awesome!
I have one more cardio to get in then my exercise is done for the week. Which still leaves me a TON of water to drink every day. We got invited to a friends house for dinner tomorrow, so I am glad that I built an extra day of drinking in my goals - they always have really good wine at their house.

Almost had an unplanned splurge today, but I got it under control and all is well

I'm back online!! Yipee! Sadly not checking in daily seemed to cause an "out of sight (or should that be site) out of mind" problem. I'm doing better this week than last though and that's good. I had to spend this afternoon mowing the lawn so I won't have time to bike today but I definitely got my cardio in from mowing! Now I've got to get back to canning cherries but I promise I'll check back in the morning!

Arrr, last night I went to a party and over did it with the drinking! :evil: Its been my first major slip since I started. I drank beer (2) (in addition to a lot of liquer). And then I got home and overindulged in nuts! I didn't go off as far as food, even when they all got nachos and hot dogs. But it was the drinking! And - now that I'm confessing anyway - I smoked like 4 cigarettes! Horrible! But I got rid of that pack and I am totally back on the wagon.
Anyway, I got on the scale and I've lost 5 pounds since we started!!!!! I am SOOOO EXCITED!!!!! I haven't weighed myself for at least a week, and when I saw that number I was so pumped! (Literally jumping around - YESSSS!!!) Its really nice to see this starting to pay off. I also look forward to exercising now! |

Cardio: 4 workouts @ 5 points each = 20 points total
Strength: 2 workouts @ 5 points each = 10 points
Water: 7/7 days @ 2 points each = 14 points total
Goals: Met 3/3 goals @ 5 points each = 15 points total
TOTAL REQUIREMENT POINTS: 59 POINTS
BONUSES:
1 extra cardio workout = 5 point bonus
1 extra weight workout = 2 point bonus
Push it - upped stair master a level on Tuesday = 2 point bonus
Push it - upped elliptical a level on Friday = 2 point bonus
Push it - did 4 sets of push-ups instead of 1 = 2 point bonus
Push it - additional 30 minutes light exercise (not hard enough to count as additional cardio) on Monday = 2 bonus points
TOTAL BONUS POINTS: 15 POINTS
WEEKLY TOTAL: 74 POINTS
Week OF JUNE 18-24 GOALS:
1. Eat clean 6/7 days
2. Go in the sauna 2x
3. 2 sets of push-ups evey night
I missed claiming some push-it bonus points last week. Otter, do you want me to detail them or is it too late to include them? I think I am finally getting the hang of the challenge and the point system! |

Hahah! I was caffery!
Here's my check in for the week:
Cardio 9x5=45 (these are 30 minute sessions right? I feel like I am giving too many points but I am counting each 30 mins as 5 points...right??)
Strength 2x5 =10
Water 2x7 = 14
Goals 2/3 = 10
Bonus:
Push it: ran (jogged) farther and for a greater % of time than I have for about 2 years!! =2pt
Push it: did yoga right after jogging 2 days x 2pts each day =4pts
Push it: went out with friends for a happy hour and instead of coming home to watch tv I went out jogging!! =2pt
90 minute work out today! (first EVER besides backpacking..etc) = 2 pt (or 5? have to double check this)
Total: 89 (?!?!) :D
This weeks goals:
1) LIMIT alcohol consumption at my friend's bachlorette party, intersperse water between each drink and drink slowly! And only drink 2/3 other nights of the week. (This is sadly very hard for me! I love my wine!!)
2) Keep a food journal 5/7 days
3) Do 10 pushups and 30 crunches 5/7 days |

So, I got like the bare minimum this week and I apologize. I've been dog tired! Not getting enough sleep really hinders my ability to do a good workout. Things should be back to normal this week.
