Thank you so much for reposting Everlore--you're the best!

These are the points I plucked off the other thread. I don't have final tallies from Larissahp and Tooaud2. Here are the final points for everyone else:

Rommel: 130
Mongoliabound: 70
Jabbah: 78
Musicmom: 66
Just right: 71

Larissahp--need a redo--bonus cardio points APPEAR to be 10 points not 45 points but I may have not interpreted something correctly--check it out and get back to me on a final point score.

Everlore: 86
Maltby_gardner: 115
Tooaud2: ?
Dark Chocolate: 80

If I missed someone who did post over there, just let me know and I'll fix it or if you forgot something--no problem--I can edit this post.

I believe we have a total of 696 points with 2 people still to tally. It's looking good. Remember (especially Musicmom who was discouraged with her score)--Do the best you can and don't compare yourself to others. Everyone's situation is unique and not everyone has the luxury of time so use wisely what you have and then let it go. But please, don't throw in the towel, all points go toward the good of the team so everyone's efforts ALL count. We're in this together and we need EVERYONE. Great week!

Just to start off the Week 2 chatting... :)

Yesterday (Sunday) I ran 4 miles, which is the longest I've ever run, and honestly, it really really sucked. I'm not quite sure what it was, but I kinda hated it. And then after I got home (I ran just before sunset), I started feeling naseous (I always spell that word wrong!) and didn't feel better until I finally fell asleep. Uuuughhh. I'm working myself up to a 10K race in mid-August, though, so I'm determined to keep upping the distance once a week.

This coming weekend, however, I get a bit of a break from the mileage-upping because I'm running my third 5K race! This one is particularly intimidating because it's the first one I've done that's JUST a run (as opposed to a run/walk), and I know without the walkers behind me there's a very good chance I'll come in last place - no exaggeration. I can run the whole thing, but I do it slowly. So this may be a big emotional hurdle to get over. I just figure, Hey, even if I DO come in last place, I'll have DONE it, and there's a good chance I can look back on it proudly, since it'll quite possibly the worst race I'll ever run! Ohh man, it'll be tough. If I get through it well, I'm seeing some serious "push-it" points happening!

Today was my second ashtanga yoga class, and it was SO much more intense than last week's! It was quite warm in the room, which contributed to it, I believe. We were all getting quite sweaty and slipping around on the mats... uugh. It really felt great though, and definitely enough of a workout that I'm counting it as a cardio session for the week (last week's just didn't have that "heart-pumping" feel to it, but this week's certainly did!).

Just a bit of water to finish off in my last water bottle to get in my 64oz for today, and then I'll do my crunches/pushups before bed. Tomorrow I'm getting up early to do a speed run and weight machines at the gym before work. And I do have time to do them after work, in case something goes wrong in the morning, but I'd prefer to get them out of the way early. We'll see what happens!

DC, it's good to have you back! Keep up the good work. I want to try yoga, but classes are too expensive. I have requested a DVD from the library.

Rommel

Just a quick post (this is my go to bed at 6 PM day). I'm just waiting on an updated score and I'm not sure if the last team member is participating or not. A-Rod and I are deciding on a time frame limit for posting so we can get the results to you all in a timely fashion.

I already did my strength and elliptical workout and pushed it for some bonus points--I increased the intensity and did a little more than 100 revolutions more in my usual workout session. I hope my husband wants to hike today before dinner, if he doesn't, I may go by myself but I really don't like to. Lime Ridge where I hike is kind of remote and very few people are out there and it just feels dangerous to be out there alone. He'll probably go for sure if I tell him I'll go alone--I hope so. Better sign off and get to it so I'll have time to eat a little something before bed.

We lost one team player so had to use an average for one person's worth of points to get a final score.

Rommel--130
Maltby_gardner--115
Everlore--86
Dark Chocolate--80
jabbah--78
larissahp--73
just right--71
mongoliabound--70
musicmom--66
avg for 1 person--83

Total points for week 1--854 points!!!!!!!

Great job everyone. Aren't we just awesome! Keep up the good work!!
Now I better get myself in gear and hit the elliptical. Don't expect push it bonuses today, I've been up since 12:45 (work at 2AM) and I'm kind of tired--maybe a cat nap will do the trick.

Oh, by the way, yesterday my husband did agree to hike with me BUT he only had 30 minutes until the landscaper guy was coming over here so we had to "race walk" our circuit to get it done before he got to the house. Might I also add--it was 97 degrees out but we did it and cut off five minutes off our time on that circuit. Bonus points for "pushing it!" But in doing that, I could ALMOST see myself jogging--I said almost. My face was beat red for two hours after that and I had to replace a liter of body fluid! The joys of exercise in the summer.

Woohoo! Way to go team!...I just went to go look in the results thread (which we're not in - I wonder why?), and we're 200 points ahead of everyone else! Yay!!

Yeah, I would have to say, we're seriously kicking booty!

DarkChocolate

Oh man, we're awesome!

And here I was thinking my 80pts were looking kinda puny, but it's just in comparison to you guys who are COMPLETELY ROCKING!! In fact, our entire team is doing really really well (especially compared to the other teams)... CONGRATS EVERYONE! Keep it up!!!
