you guys are all so nice. But, since the parents have seen them do this and know it is happening they ALREADY KNOW IT'S A PROBLEM. they apparently don't care or think they can't do anything about it.
if I was to come home and they were in my driveway, I would call the police from my cell and say there were strange kids in my driveway near my house and I want the police to come out. hopefully you already put up no tresspassing signs. I wouldn't leave my car until the cops came either.
whatever you decide to do. don't threaten them and then not do it. if you tell them if they continue you will call the cops then when they continue you need to make good and call the cops.
just a thought. Have you tried talking to the kids themselves. not yelling at them but talking to them and telling them you don't want them on your property because if any of them gets hurt you are responsible.
my gf had kids climb her fence and swim in her pool and one got hurt and she wasn't even home and they got sued. the family that sued won. I guess that is why I would take a hard stance with the cops. at least then it's on file that you have complained about them being there and tresspassing.
be persistent. the cops will tire of it and do something to get the kids to stop so they don't have to come out again and again. :wink: |
