I'm SO happy that she's gone! I really didn't like her attitude ....
I thought that was SO mean what Gordon did to Rock last night... I would have been furious too if I were him!!!!!!!!!
GO JULIA!!!! |

Unfortunately Julia's lack of culinary experience (beyond her role of short order cook) is really showing and holding her back.
I was quite impressed with how Jen stepped up and had a chance to shine. I also cracked up at Rock finding out she was a pastry chef at the Ritz.
I am so happy that Melissa is gone. Man, she got on my last nerve and what, does she not own a comb???
I was really annoyed with the stupid dramatics of Gordon having the two guys step forward at the end, saying it's not over, but then, you can both step back. That was just stupid in my opinion.

I really like Julia. She has proven time and time again that given a little bit of learning she could easily run her own kitchen. She proved it the morning they served breakfast.
Melissa....words cannot describe how happy I am that she is gone.
Poor Rock. I like him too. And he is good. Ramsey picked him I bet because he was reacting so bad. Probably punishment for his temper while they cleaned up from the challenge.
All in all I was really pleased with the show. I hate reality shows but I sure do like that one :) |

So, When it started there was a challange Red vs. Blue to make an appetizer and 2 entrees out of kitchen leftovers. Blue team went really fancy, and red team kinda sucked.
Bonnie and Brad went up first, Bonnie made a rustic chicken soup for the appetizer and brad made some kind of fish i think...(it was pretty fancy) Both teams scored a point.
Jen and Josh went up next, Jen had made steak and eggs and it kinda looked like crap too, and brad did a stuffed chicken but it tasted horrible. So noone got a point there.
Finally Julia and Rock went up, Julia did fish and chips and rock did a surf n turf of steak with lobster or something I think. Ramsey said Julia's fish and ships were good but shouldn't be served in an upscale kitchen.
So the boys won the challange and got to go paintballing 3vs1 to Ramsey. It was pretty cool. And the girls had to spring clean the kitchen and take in the orders, but they didnt check all the orders so they were all messed up (im sure on purpose)
Then the next day they were given the task to do Red menu vs. Blue menu. Red team was bickering alot and they wouldn't listen to anything Julia had to say. And Jen kept talking about "She is just a waffle house chef" (jen is irkin me...) And the guys went super super fancy I can't even spell have the stuff they did.
So Ramsey looked at the menus and asked Julia what her imput was and when she said none. Ramsey asked her what she would like to do and she said a NY strip with shrimp, so the girls got rid of one thing to make room for it.
Ramsey then looked to the guys and asked if they could pull it off..
After dinner service started there ended up being a total of 52 red ooders and 48 blue. And most of the orders were for the NY Strip that Julia did. Brad got alot of appetizers sent back because they were cold or bland or salty. Bonnie was having a bad night also. At one point she was cooking with the burners off!!
Jen turned into super bitc...yea you know what I mean. And her and bonnie had a stand off type thing. And red team nor blue team were not comunicating.
Then in Blue Kitchen Josh was on meats and kept screwing up the lamb and noone went to help him when Ramsey said for someone to assist him. But Josh eventually dug himself out.
So Finally service was over and he complimented Julia alot for her addition of the steak and also her excellent preformance. Neither kitchen won that night and Julia had to pick one from her team and the boys had to do a group vote.
***sPOILER aLERT!!***
So after they all got back Julia nominated Bonnie for elimation and the boys picked Brad. (I bet it was because they thought he was safe) Well after a suprising move by ramsey He told Brad to scoot and told Bonnie to get back in line.
And Next week they will be all as one team and it showed Jen and rock butting heads. I cant wait!!!
(Whew I think thats about all that happend....) |

An excellent summary mk_sears. I would just add one clarification that when the red team was doing their punishment of cleaning, they had to check in all the food for the night. Sears was right that it had to be staged because indeed the vendor made a TON of mistakes (this was wrong, that was wrong, for instance one box was fish skeletons instead of fish, etc.). Well Bonnie was the one checking things in and she didn't check the boxes closely enough.
Then during the service she was getting confused and couldn't remember the orders or keep up.

Yeah, it was pretty great that he did that for her. He really didn't have anything bad to say about her. And, when thinking about it now, culinary school will open up HUGE possibilities for her. Maybe something even better is in store for her :) I hope we can find updates on her somehow!
ETA: I'm still upset because I don't think any of the others deserve their own kitchen. :? |
