Is it ok if i am having more cheese and eggs and beans during the day than the book says? also, 1/2 c ricotta at night doesnt fill me either, so i have had more of this. is that alright?? i really want to make it work so i thats why i am so paraniod

How much more than the book says?
Beans are good for fiber, but are calorie dense, so you may want to stick to the servings in those.
Cheese is a problem for me, it is high in sodium and makes me bloated. I always stick the serving size or smaller.
Post a menu with quanitites. Are you hungry is that why you are eating more than the book says? |

| How many veggies are you getting? If you're under-eating vegetables you're likely to be hungrier than otherwise. My advice would be to add more veggies than anything else. They not only help fill you up, they also help even out your blood sugar -- AND they're good for you (vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, fiber). |

As long as you have a calorie deficit than you should be able to have more than the recommended amounts. The template is a guideline not a rule.
I started SB in 7/05 and I did not want to starve. So I combined the mypyramid.gov plan and the SB recommended foods.I tried to have a daily deficit between 300-500 calories; I was able to gradually lose weight and I've been in P3 now for 16 months. The mypyramid website also told me if I was getting the recommended amount of vitamins, minerals ect.
If you can modify the template plan into your plan then you will be more likely to stick with it; as opposed to following someone elses plan. |
