I mostly listen to pop when exercising, it seems to give me energy.
My faves right now are "Don't feel like Dancin'" by the Scissor Sisters, there is now way that your feet can not move faster when this song is playing. Christina Aguilera's "Fighter" gets me going too and Kelly Clarkson's "Miss Independant" |

My favorite music for workouts comes from BodyPump release 60
Invincible by Carola for the warm up track. It puts me immediately into the mood.
Have A Nice Day by Bon Jovi , An almost perfect chest track music.
Angel by b*p*m. Great lunge track music. It hides some of the pain.
So Far Away by Amici Forever. The best yet for cool down and stretches. |

bob, somehow i knew your response to this was going to involve bodypump ...
that scissor sisters song is indeed catchy! i found a good remix of it that i just put on a new workout playlist.
"harder better faster stronger" by daft punk [so appropriate]
lots of songs by a techno-y jam band called the new deal
"to get down" by timo maas [also appropriate]
and that irritatingly catchy "galvanize" by the chemical brothers |

Actually I love the music of BodyCombat more, but I am too new to it to know the releases and therefore the actual tune names. For me, BodyCombat is an aerobic blast that leaves everything else behind. |

| I can see I'm going to be busy trying to find these songs to listen to online. Or maybe DD3 has them on her Zune. I want to check them out. I'm trying to put together the most amazing, energizing playlist ever to help me out with my workouts...which are "fairly unenjoyable" these days. |

I love hearing what's on everyone else's workout mixes. :) Some of my favorites are:
"Ready to go" - Republica
"That's What I Like" - Jive Bunny & The Mastermixers
"We're Gonna Win" - Bryan Adams (cheesy but with a good beat :))
"The Final Countdown" - Europe (ditto)
"Cloud Number Nine (Chicane Remix)" - Bryan Adams
The Jock Jams sports mix...not sure what the actual name is
I make aerobics mixes in a program called Garage Band...I put all the songs in and put in boxer bells at the points where I should switch from cardio intervals to weight intervals and back. It's fun. :) |

| Another favorite, from the Shoulder Track of release 56 of BodyPump. It is I Like The Way You Move by Bodyrockers. It has a 'nasty' sound somewhat like the Stones. I cannot help but rock through the whole track! |

I have about 45 songs or so that I shuffle through. Some of my favorites are:
Unwritten - Natasha Beddingfield
American Idiot - Green Day
Lifesong - Casting Crowns
Take the Long Way Home - Supertramp (it seems kind of slow but it's great for running, especially on a long run)
The End of the World - REM
I Wanna Be Sedated - Ramones
Shine - Newsboys
Love of my Life - Cowboy Mouth |

| Doc, do you love Casting Crowns? I love Voice of Truth and Praise You in This Storm. And I love Newsboys (although, truth be told, they can't possibly be boys anymore!). And Kutless...I have Sea of Faces and Strong Tower in my list, too. |

I listen to Robert Ullery's C25K podcast LOL
Otherwise I don't usually listen to tunes while I workout. Each of the machines at my gym have a tv, so I plug in and watch. :D |

LOVE IT!
[for those of you who aren't hip, they used that in a coke commercial this past year ... young bald guy in red sneakers dancing on the bed in his penthouse apartment?] |
