Last Friday, our Department newsletter came out on the local intranet, (local secured Internet), and my picture was in it doing ‘dips’ using my desk. I did not even know that people had noticed me exercising at my desk let alone taking my picture. At first I was a little upset but then realized that it was almost an honor. When tense or bored I often do a few light exercises just to ‘work the clinks out.’ I found out that the picture was taken by a neighbor using my Internet camera. I have an Internet camera at my main workstation for use in some conferences. Sometimes life in a tech support can be a circus! And in 14 short months I get paroled (retired) from that circus…

| Love it! I am totally a secret work exerciser too. Do you have a rolling chair? How do you keep it stable to do dips? Push it against a wall?? |

| I back up to my desktop, put my hands on the desktop, and push my feet against the wall (narrow cube!). It is very easy and very relaxing. |

I thought, caught with your hands in the candy bowl, but I have been reading here long enough to think twice about that.
I love dips, they are one of my favourite exercises. I think of my junior high math teacher while I do them. I don't want my skin hanging a foot below my arm if I can help it :)
Maybe you will inspire others in your office. |

I love it too Bob! You're inspiring!
It would be a good move for all workplaces to integrate exercise & relaxation, IMO. |
