Any of you scrunch your bottom when you walk? do you think this helps? I try most of the time to do that and was just curious... I mean do you think that extra scrunch can also help build muscles there and shrink the fat back there

No laughing at this post, ok? 8)

Sometimes. When you ask a question. And don't get an answer. Well, ya still get an answer.

Hi, coastal mom,

We must think alot alike! I've tried scrunching my bottom when walking but I strained my lower back a little. Maybe I was doing it too intensely.

But when I scrunch my bottom really tightly while standing, it does definitely firm and raise my bottom--IF I do it really OFTEN during my day. I can do it standing in line, pumping gas, etc etc

:D

 Hey there laurelwoods

Yes, it does seem like we think a lot cause I even do these while sitting at my computer here at work :D cause 8 hours is a lot of time to be sittting.

Thanks for responding!

Yep. I do that sometimes too. There's alot of time to multitask with scrunching. How do you scrunch when walking without straining your lower back? (If you can explain it)

I think some of my spreading midsection, thighs and bottom is due to all the sitting I do. I'm thinking about getting a little kneeling bench, like they use for gardening, to sometimes use at the computer when I'm home. It's not very comfortable, but that might keep me from wasting so much time on the internet. It could help strengthen the core too.

If you have any other ideas about these areas, please post them! :D

Have you seen those little things that you can put at your desk on the floor and it is like riding a bicycle...for here at work. 8)

Some other things that I have been doing...leg lifts here at work. At home I have been doing toning exercises...100 crunches two times a week, side leg lifts, some things that i really dont know the name of the exercise but I got off of the self.com website. They have a lot of cool info to target specific body parts on there. I use 5 pounds ankle weights while doing the exercises. These seem to be helping.

Those are really good for me too. Lifts seem to work better for my body than lunges or squats. I check out the self.com once and awhile. It really helps me to do videos. I keep the pace up and learn good form pointers from the different instructors. I try to check them out from the library so I don't spend too much money!

I don't spend alot of time here (need less time sitting on my you-know-what) but I'll keep a look-out on how your exercise is progressing.

Keep up the good work!!
