Krismiss

There are push ups in the dvd's I do, and I struggle with them so bad!!! I've built up my biceps and triceps, and shoulders and back. And I do the chest presses on the video no problem. But I can't master good push-ups yet! I'm more determined now though!!

I get my water in every day too. It's all I drink anymore. I think I'm around 90-100oz a day (judging by how often I fill up my water bottle).

I didn't really expect to lose much weight because I think I might be where I'll stay.....and I'm glad we have to eat beachy 5-7 days, lol, cause DH came home from traveling for the last two months and we had a celebration dinner at home (everything was grilled, and healthy, but I did have a piece of grilled french bread, and we made pineapple-tini's.) Anyway, I weighed 125.8 Monday morning, 126.4 yesterday, and 124.6 today!!! Whooo Hooooo!!!!! (I know some people don't like you to weigh every day, but I've gone from 147 to 124, so I think it's okay now. :D )

We're (H)Otter than summertime!!!!!!

Thanks Otter but I have to say it is definitely "looked"! I hurt my back a little over a year ago and I've packed on some weight since that pic was taken *sigh*. I'll get back there though!

I'll keep you posted on the push ups - I am so not looking forward to doing those tonight! My arms are killing me!

Krismiss, you've got to get down there every day and try to do one. You will be surprised how soon you'll be able to knock one out - from there the sky's the limit. My friend Donna can do 250 of varying kinds. Seriously, that girl is off the charts when it comes to dedication!

OK

See the change to our team name?

Woo-hoo! Last time we were "Team yellow" It is funny why I came up with that name because I couldn't think of anything clever I asked my 4 year old his favority color and he said "Yellow"

I think this team name is more fun!

I need to drink more water today--I can tell I am a bit dehydrated and tonight I am having some wine!!

Caffrey
Sorry about your back but you still look great in the pics--I would hang a pic like that on my fridge and that would keep me motivated and away from mindless eating!

Well, on my knees, I can do at least 10. The videos I use do 3 sets of 10. I can't do more than 5 or 6 on my toes. But I keep trying!!

Maybe I'll just see tonight how many I can do if I really REALLY push myself!!

9 push ups. My arms were oh so not happy. Thank God it is over!

Love the name change Otter!

Thanks for the encouragement. I did go out for a walk. There's a lady who keeps her horse here and she comes out to care for her daily during the week (we do weekends). She brings her dogs and we walk but it's a slow walk since the dogs are older. I do feel better and plan to get a bike ride in somehow tonight. DD has a soccer scrimmage and I'm torn about staying and watching or leaving dh in charge so I can come home bike and get things ready for the tournament this weekend.

Anyone have swimming suit suggestions? The tourney is at a theme park and ds is dying to go down all the water slides. I LOVE water slides but I HATE bathing suits!!! Guess I'd better go shopping this afternoon.

UGH!! Swimsuits!!! I tell ya, it's almost as bad trying to buy blue jeans anymore. Most styles show more than I want people to see, lol. Too bad "mom jeans" look so outdated now. Maybe they'll come back in a decade or so.

Have fun!!! Sounds like you're have a blast at the theme park.

Lora- Glad you got out and walked. Did it make you feel better?

Today is one of my non-beachy days and I am proud that I didn't go non-beachy crazy. We had to sample a new menu at work and there is not a lot of beachy stuff on it.

I did go to the gym and tried the arc trainer for bonus points. It is so amazing to me that I can do the elliptical for hours, but 30 minutes on the new equipment was really hard. So does that count as pump it up points or new exercise points or both???

Hi guys, this has been a difficult week for me...hard to keep up the motivation, but I swear this board really helps. I also hate my job (yet have to deal with it for now) and took a mental sanity day yesterday and it was great. I did an hour of yoga (which was a new form of yoga for me), and went hiking for an hour too. So that was good. I need some new food ideas. I've become so bored of eating a salad with chicken or tuna everyday. But I try to think of what else I want and nothing sounds good. Any ideas for quick / easy food that doesn't involve a lot of chopping & preparing? I've been looking at the recipe thread, just wondering if anyone has a great idea.

I don't really understand, I'm exercising and eating right which is supposed to help your mood but lately I just feel so stuck. Anyway, sorry to rant! Maybe a good walk will help uplift me! :?

Hi everyone

Yeah!! It's Friday!!!
Last night we went to a reception and I had 3 drinks--and a bit of a headache this monring but I get to start phase 2 today--yippee!!

I love the time off on weekends but I don't like getting out of my routine.

Tomorrow we are taking the kids to Sesame Street place amusement park. I like that park becasuse they actually offer healthy options for lunch--not like other parks I ahve been to. Tomorrow is my non beachy day also because it is DHs birthday so we are going out to dinner after we get home (a date a deux  )

I walked along the river this morning and did upper body strength training at the gym later on.

Nim99~ I hope you shake off your mood...sometimes I get them and I just call it "the funk", and after a while it passes.

Bathing suits....yikes!!! Honestly I wear a 2-piece that almost looks like a 1 piece and I really don't care if my tummy jiggles a little. I am trying and eventually it will tone up.

Well I gotta run!

I took off from exercising yesterday (I always take one day off per week). But today I did really good in the gym, I think. I ran a mile without stopping to warm up (this is the first time EVER that I've been able to do that, and it was kind of easy!!). Then I did 40 minutes on the elliptical, which was hard to get through today for some reason. Then, I tried out the rowing machine and did that until my arms hurt (about 5 minutes). Then, I did weights and ball exercises for another 20 minutes.

I feel kind of bad because I haven't met one of my personal goals this week to be beachy. Duh. Sorry guys. I'm going to work hard on exercising this weekend so I can get some bonus points to make up for that.

Nims, I bring left overs alot of times for lunch. (I got tired of salads all the time too)

One of my favorite things is (this sounds gross) hot dog salad. I take chili, a hot dog, and slaw, in baggies. At lunch I heat the chili and the hotdog in the microwave, then add the slaw. Just like a chili dog, but easier to eat. LOL

I also do lettuce wraps sometimes, with romaine lettuce. They are kind hard to eat, I just roll up stuff like a burrito. Usually mozzarella and turkey.

I also bring "reubens" in a bowl. Lowfat pastrami, or corned beef, saurkraut, and provalone. I warm it up and it's awesome!!

Hope you start feeling better soon.

Not a lot of time to check in - busy cleaning for overnight guests tomorrow. I did 45 minutes on the stair master today, which almost killed me! That's a full 15 minutes longer on that machine than normal! Talk about sweating!

Followed it up with weights for my shoulders and biceps.

Gotta go vaccuum!

Did 10 push ups! YAY! I can tell that my form is getting better too - I got down even further tonight. That feels SO good.

Great work everyone, congrats on all the progress this week & happy weekend! Thanks so much for the food suggestions krismiss, i like that reuban in a bowl idea.

Yesterday I did some tricep extensions into the strength routine i am doing and man can I feel it today! I also did a workout dvd that I hadn't done for about 5 days and it was a lot easier than last time I did it - yay progress! Although I feel like I can't see anything yet, at least I can feel it.
