Well I did, but it was just later in the day. This darned work!

A-Rod wrote: cheater tip ahead for my team's eyes only! HIKING is a greeaaaat way to sneak in a 90 min workout without feeling like it was difficult and awful! ;) for most people that's about a 6-mi hike - not too bad at all!

The thing with hiking...you need a nice place to do it. I live in Cincinnati and any hiking place worth a darned is a few hours away. Hence, powerwalk on the bike trail.

Waaah waaah waaah!

Love the name!!!! :D

OK I am going to have to go back and revise my goals and I'm think I'm kind of confused on the points thing so I will have to check them out better too.

Doing good so far as eating goes. Did not get a work out in today, however, could not get my butt out of bed th is morning. But I will still get my workouts in for the week.

Love2paint4you you are doing fantastic!!!! Way to go!

1st goal clean phase 1 for another week.
2nd I like that stretching one, I was thinking about it for next week, but I will use it this week. Stretch for 5 minutes after walking.
3rd Cut back on my coffee intake.

Hi folks!

Oops! I need to change my goals.

1. Really push myself in each workout.
2. Try to lift weights at the gym sometime this week.
3. Make sure to get in all my snacks.

As for exercise today, I stayed a little later than I usually do at work. Therefore, I missed my 15 minute BUTTS class. I made it, though, to my hour long class which started at 7:00 PM.

Here are my revised goals:

My three goals:
1) Eat cleanly with the exception of one meal and two small treats.
2) Eat enough. That tends to be one of my constant issues.
3) Exercise outside at least once.

I ran today (and used the resistance band), though it didn't feel as productive as usual. I need to learn that something is better than nothing, though. It's not about being a rockstar twice, but a locomotive every day. Onward!

Oh dear! I didn't get my workout in yesterday! Although I did get all my water and did my stretching :)

We had a huge storm! Tornadoes, and the most rain I ever seen at once. On my way home, under an overpass was flooded with a 40 foot "puddle". Cars were stuck and I had to try and drive through! Still took over an hour to get home, compared to the usual 15 minutes. Than to come home to discover the power was out, which is a BIG deal, because I have 6 reptiles. Anyway! I'll have to do a little extra work today!

Can one of my goals be to do the Carmen Electra workout, twice this week, but with the points NOT counting to an extra workout, and only counting for goal points?

Wednesday
cardio points: 5 points
strength: 5 points
water: 2 points
bonus: 5 points for additional daytime gym workout, I also snuck in an extra four mile walk with dh today. that's three workouts today! I've never done that before!

TKD class, counts towards weekly goal.

I've met my goal for the gym already! I've also got two out of three of my walks out of the way.

Half way through week 1 of the challenge! Go team!

I did lose some bonus points yesterday...

There weren't a lot of food options and I went with wings, they ended up being very greasy and very breaded, so not at all SB friendly. Looking back, I really should have gone with one of the sandwiches that were available and taken off the bread. I don't know why THAT didn't occur to me yesterday, but it didn't. Since my goal was to be P1 all week, I've lost those points.

Don't worry though. I'm going to go for a long walk (90+ minutes) to get some of those points back. Maybe I'll even squeeze in an extra workout sometime over the weekend to help improve my goals.

I've done 2 cardio,2 strength, AND have had my 96oz. of water 3/3 days so far. I've also done the 10 minutes of abs 3/3 days. So that's 20 points for exercise, 6 points for adequate water, and 10 potential bonus points? Does that sound right? 26 definite points. Once I get my walk in, I get to add 10 to that (If everything goes as planned).

Hi all

It was a slow week, but here's what it amounts to so far for me:

2 strength training workouts (both with 4 sets of 18 push-ups)
3 Ab Ripper workouts
2- Cardio workouts
4 days with a boatload of water (I feel like the little tugboat)
every day had been phase 1 friendly foods

So far, so good!

Keep workin it ladies!

hey guys! sorry i was AWOL yesterday - couldn't get on the boards at all!

ladyvenom, your carmen electra goal is great ... let me know how you like those and whether they're a substantial workout.

shadowrose, you would get bonus points for pushing yourself in your workouts, so that doesn't work as a goal. sorry!

so, i skipped my run yesterday because i still can't breathe. i did bring my workout stuff today and i'm just going to try to tough it out. really need a doctor's appointment. i think i'm going to hit the gym so i can do some strength training - harder to make that happen when i'm outside running for workouts.

you guys are all doing great! GO TEAM!

Hello! I'm doing great so far (although not as much as some of you!! man ... you really are killing yourselves over exercice!! wow! I wish I had the determination to do that much!!) I've managed 2 strenght workouts so far and 1 cardio session, all my water and beachy food also. I'm lacking on cardio, i'll have to kick my butt this weekend cause I don't have time tonight...

I just found yesterday a great reason to start working my butt off... My bestfriend of 20 years is getting engaged pretty soon (she doesn't know yet!! his boyfriend just showed me the ring yesterday and it's gorgeous!! I can't wait for her to see it and say YES!) But I started thinking about it and... humm... she's getting engaged so a wedding is coming and being her bestfriend...huh... I will be a bridesmaid!!! But oh gosh... I gotta start moving cause I don't want to be the fat bridesmaid who's dress his bigger than everybody elses! I know it's such a girl thing to look good as a bridesmaid but it's a great reason to get the rest of the weight off and get moving! But I have to relax a bit because I don't know yet when will be the wedding!!! Anyway, just had to tell somebody because I can't talk about this to anyone in the "real" world!!! lol
