okay, so we still need to decide on a name, my friends!
i must tell you, the goals here are ALREADY keeping me on track and it's only 11am! i was tempted to opt out of my long run today and do it wednesday instead of my short run that day, but i remembered my goal of sticking to my training 7/7 days, so i can't!
i did have a major victory on saturday ... i did a 3 mile run on thursday and it was awful. ran too fast at first and lost my steam, plus i wasn't ready for the hills on this route [which i have to be able to handle for the race]. did 3.3 miles in 40 minutes, which wasn't that bad, but i walked about a mile of it.
so ... saturday i ran the ENTIRE way except for about .1 mile of this huge hill, but i ran the rest of it and even sprinted some! my time was about 11:30 miles, which i am happy with. my "stretch run" for last week and this week was only 3 miles, so i've already exceeded that distance - i'm going to go for 3.5 this saturday.
i already know my planned cheat meal [pizza!] and i am having a planned treat of a leftover red velvet cupcake from a family dinner last night. one more treat and i don't know what that is.
also, we have to record our start of challenge weights - you don't have to report your weight changes, but i find that it helps. so i weighed in at 161.5 this morning [not bad AT ALL considering my weekend eating!]. |

Hey ladyvenom
Glad to see you. The last couple of weeks I've seen a few people leave the board because they felt unwelcome, good to know that some of us can accept what seems as harsh words as constructive discussion.
Today was not a good day exercise wise as I'm still getting over a cold and some kind of a stomach problem (I think food poisoning). The good news is that I did eat Phase 1 foods only and I'm feeling much stronger this evening. I'll be sure to get in my crunches before I go to bed, and I'll be up at 5 a.m. tomorrow morning to get in my Strength training workout. It's a slow start, but I know I'll get in all my workouts; after all, I wouldn't want to let the team down! |

| It's hard to talk me down. They were a little rude, yes, but whatever! It's just more motivation. |

Hey friends!
I did my double workout today as planned. I did 45 mins on the elliptical and 45 mins of weights earlier today, then power walked 4 miles tonight. I really didn't want to walk tonight, I was tired and we were dodging thunderstorms, but I went anyways. I'm glad I did and the storms held off.

Hi peeps!
So far so good. I got my Monday work out in and I totally kicked butt. Plus, I'm getting in my water. Okay, so here are my goals for this week..
1. Get my water in everday.
2. Make dinner every night (that is, if I don't have left overs!)
3. Try harder on each of my work outs.
So far, so good! Oh yeah, and my starting weight is 149.5 |

Morning all
Feeling much better and stronger today. Got up this morning and did my strength training workout and ab Ripper, and I did my Ab Ripper last night before bed. I love working out first thing in the morning because I feel like I've accomplished something before the day even starts.
Yesterday, I got in all my water, ate only beachy foods and allowed myself a day to get back to as close to normal as I can be.
My starting weight for this challenge is 196. Hoping to get into the 180's before the end of the challenge.
Stay strong everyone.
Barb- double workout with a split heel....you are one determined lady!
Take care

I managed to push myself off the couch last night and start the couch-2-5K running program. Oh my!! Hard work! But having a stopwatch and timing myself helped a LOT. And I slept so good and feel great this morning.
It's just 8am and I've already chugged back 600 mL of water.
So far my goals are...
1.) 3 days a week of couch-2-5K + 1 day a week of a fun cardio activity (going to go to the worlds largest water park on Saturday! All the stairs to climb to the top of the slides is a BIG workout)
2.) Get all my water in
3.) Stretch every morning before work and every night before bed for 10 minutes
I'm also better able to reach goals when I reward myself. So, if I can reach these goals I'm going to go shopping for a new bikini to wear to the waterpark!
I also want to get all my starting measurements, and hurry and get my scale a new battery :p |

Hi folks! Looks like we are doing great so far!
I was really disapointed at the scale yesterday morning... There was a week between the may challenge and the june challenge and I let myself go a bit and than *BANG* 4 pounds back. Gosh... how can the weight come back so quicky! Grrrr! So back to 184 as my official starting weight.
But i've done pretty good yesterday, got all my water-in and my beachy foods :D I was not feeling very well though, I was really hungry and had a headache all day long (maybe I did not ate enough, well see how it goes today).
Still raining in here, i'm tired of it... If it's not that bad this evening i'll probably go out for a power walk of even a run if I feel like it.
Have a great day!!! |

I've started to care less about the scale because it just doesn't move for me. However, my muscles are much more visible and my old pair of jean shorts fit. I'll take those two victories over a number any day!
Still, my starting weight is 187. |
