No ....but I've been to their farm upstate before they moved to New Hampshire. I used to frequent Sarah's board....a lot!! I learned tons from her!! she's amazing!!
As a matter of fact, 3 yrs ago, I took my newest rescue to her shy dog seminar. They put a pic of me up on her site and I totally freaked out! I was HUGE!!! 3 weeks later...I started my journey, for hopefully the last time in my life.
My shy dog is still shy...but I have lost that weight and can now run with her to get her exercised. Its an issue for her in the city as she totally shuts down when outside...not good for a 60 lb cattle dog!! She is helping me heal and I try to do the same for her. We're a team!! :D |

Well, I was up to 4, but am back down to 3 now.
Still have Scotti and Cisco, my rat terriers.
Adopted Lola about 2 years ago (JRT mix).
March 2006 rescued a side of the road dog who was almost dead and pregnant, had HW, in really bad shape. Spent beaucoup on c-section (all pups died), vet care, etc., and nursed her back to health (she almost died of sepsis from the pups being dead inside her so long before I found her). She ended up crossing the bridge after Thanksgiving 2006 - thought she had autoimmune hemolytic anemia, but it was actually cancer, a very aggressive cancer that got her. I only had her 8 months, but I adored her and she was very happy with us, even though she had a hard time because of her poor health.
So we are back to 3 doggies.
How about you? Do you keep in touch with anyone from that board? AdLib? AuntChristine? |

ohhh.....I'm sorry to be the one to tell you that Adlib passed away last year from cancer...it was so sad and her memory lives on in many. She was quite something!!
AuntChristine has taken herself away from Sarah's board and the subsequent board, good paws..where I was a mod for a short time...I'm too sensitive to be a mod!
Christine... has issues that I don't know about.... :?: |

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! OMG!!! I loved her and she was so sweet to me so many times (AdLib). She was really supportive when my DH was overseas. What happened to Mattie and Linus?
AC seemed odd, but I liked her. I enjoyed her Giorgio photos. |

I belonged to goodpaws, too. I also belong to Sarah's new board but don't post there much. I did go back and post about Henrietta (the dog I rescued last year who had to be put down, see my post above), and people were very nice to me.
I could never be a mod. I get too mad at stupid people. |

Thank you...I think so too.
I'm so sorry about your short time with your last rescue...you gave her a good and loving home in her last days...you did good!!
Right now, I'm dealing with my almost 15 yr old chow mix not eating and its scaring me...she's got IBD and if she does not eat, its not a good sign.
I've also got an almost 9 yr old shihtzu...I adopted him right after 9/11/2001....so almost 6 yrs now. Hes quite a handful but too cute for words.
I wish I could have more but I could not handle it all. I do boarding now too and my home is not large...its a small NYC apartment. I do a lot of dog walking, puppy training, problem solving....I don't call myself a trainer but I suppose that I could...but I've not taken formal training and use my extensive experience to draw from. That a good dose of common sense gets my client's attention when necessary. |

hehehe...I hear ya!! My mom used to say this to me: "There are more horses asses than there are horses." so true!!
goodpaws was my home for a while. When I began my journey, I was able to set up a weight management forum there and I helped a few others along the way. They don't want to do healthy SBD...they want to eat crap....so I don't go there any longer. it gets old trying to get people to want to eat healthy.
Christine is very talented!! She worked for my vet years ago and did a painting of his boxers that he has hanging...its beautiful!! |
