Thanks to this way of eating I had a great pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy 7lbs 3oz baby girl march 26th,2007. I was suffering from gestational diabetes and my dietian put me on 2200 calorie diet, so i used phase 2 menue and the recipes in my diet. Of course u got to walk or excercise for aleast 30minutes everyday to metabolise ur insulin. I lost 20lbs after the baby, gained 5lbs back because of staying home and nursing. I am looking forward to joining phase 1 after a few months.

| Some female fertility issues are caused by hormonal issues that can be fixed by eating a healthy, balanced diet like SB. The main SB book has some nice info on that if you're interested! |

| No the book is an actual book in either hardcover or now in paperback. You can buy it in bookstores, online, or check it out of a library or find someone to loan you theirs! The links on the right are fairly outdated, particularly those that deal with the allowed foods to eat. Better to use the links in Kim's FAQ pages that you can find at the top of most of the forums or in either of our signature areas at the bottom of our posts. |

| I was on SB 2 years ago, I lost 70 pounds and I got pregnant after 7 years of infertility. I contribute this WOE to a successful pregnancy. I am back now because being pregnant I gained all my weight back. I am now going back to the Beach, DD is 8 months old and it is time. |

Add me to that list. I was going through peri menopause and miscarried in 2003. I was told I wouldn't be able to carry to full term. My hubby and I went on the SB diet and I got healthy, lost 20 pounds, then got pregnant. I had to maintain the SB diet due to low progesterne and being high risk pregnancy. My son weighed 7 pounds 12 oz's and came a few weeks early. I had pre eclampsia really bad. But I still attribute my healthy eating to helping us get pregnant, and I had to have progesterone shots to maintain the pregnancy.
I wonder if Dr. Afgaston would like to hear this story? :D They should do studies to see the coorelation to this for women with infertility issues. I am a firm believer that this diet helped. |

I too was not able to conceive for years and years. After being on SBD for 2 months I got pregnant and lost nearly 40 lbs! I had preeclampsia also! And had my son at 35 weeks he was 6lbs 9 oz. Now I gained all of that back plus some! So I am getting back on the diet, and I have an almost 4 month old DS to thank from the SBD!
